We took our Pitbull to this groomer shop recently. She walked in just fine, and after getting her toenails clipped and ear cleaned, she left limping on her back left leg. Groomer (owner-Treva) did admit to clipping her back right foot too short and had to put ‘stop bleeding medicine on it’. But there was an injury that was sub stained while there. The groomer (owner) was rough with her while placing her on the grooming table. We did witness this happen. Our dog was seen by a vet the next day and was diagnosed with a rupture CCL on her back left leg and also hip dysplasia. Which prior to this injury we didn’t know she had hip dysplasia. We take care of our animals and have vet records showing prior to this injury she has never been diagnosed with that nor did her vet ever have any reason to test her for this prior to the injury as well. She is now on pain medication for 3 weeks for the rupture CCL, we have to take her back to the vet and have her rechecked on her bloodwork inorder to continue her pain medication. Vet prediction is that she will be on some pain management for the rest of her life along with the arthritis medication for the hip dysplasia. We made a Facebook post inorder to warn others and there are so many more horror stories coming out that this same place has hurt and abused other dogs as well. They board dogs as well, and some people state that they give them a bag of dog food to cover the boarding time and it’s given back as a full bag once the owner comes and gets the dog after boarding. Some state cat food was given to their dog during their boarding time, and only know that cause they had to take their dog to the vet cause of malnutrition issues. They state it took around 1 year for their dog to be better. A lot have state that their dogs have also been ‘clipped too short’ while having their nails trimmed. Story after story against this business.. something needs to be done.
