July 7th, 2023, after paying 24k for a running **** Mustang. I went to Streetside Classics in ****. to get the car. I had specifically asked multiple times if the car was running or if there were any issues & was told no. After I picked the car up, it was already running at 200 degrees. It turns out that Streetside nor anyone else had ever bracketed the radiator to the frame thus allowing it fly backwards & forwards violently every time employees drove the car. This caused untold damage to the vehicle that they when sold to me as undamaged. After driving a short distance, the car went up to over 425 degrees. I had to pull to the side and was there over 4 hours as Streetside refused to help. I would a repair shop and they towed me, and it cost me 600 to repair that part of the damage caused by employees before the sale. The man who made the temporary repairs told me the car's engine and drivetrain were forced in completely wrong, possibly illegally and rigged to work. Just after leaving the shop, I was on 75 and getting on the ******* bypass and the car completely failed, surrounded by dozens of semis, tanker trucks, SUV's and cars all going ***** MPH. When I tried to accelerate, the pedal went straight to the floor and car bleached and started to slow. As I tried to get desperately to the shoulder and off the HWY, the car engine and battery died. I saw my life pass before my eyes as dozens of vehicles just missed destroying the car. I sat on the shoulder screaming, crying and shaking until a man jumped the car. I crawled the vehicle. to a hotel and charged my phone. I was able to find a good man to help me get the car to the ******* Streetside building. Once there, the car immediately died again, and I left it there. I left messages about the dead car along with the keys. He took me somewhere safe to get an Uber to the airport and only charged me 85. I am still shaking, cannot sleep & have panic attacks thinking about driving. The car is completely unsafe to drive.

      To whom it may concern,

We contacted the buyer of the vehicle and decided to refund his purchase in full. He no longer has the vehicle and we have issued a complete refund. He was supposed to be contacting your office to inform you he was withdrawing the complaint. Please let us know if we need to do anything further or provide any proof of the refund.

I transferred $28,799.00 to Streetside Classics on April 1, 2022 for a 1981 ****** Z28 that was described as an heirloom that had been very well taken care of. NOTHING could be further from the truth. Prior to the purchase I asked very specific questions like- does the A/C blow ice cold? ***, the dishonest sales rep, replied- "it blows cold, but not ice cold, probably needs a charge". Are there any lights on in the dash? "Nope". When you plug up the brake sensor they intentionally disconnected there is a "brake" light on. Are there any leaks? "Nope" The transmission leaked. Does the radio work? "Yes". The radio plays static very well. This car was over priced by over $10,000.00 based on lies. I have spoke with **** *******, the sales manager, and he has admitted that his boy *** ***** is a liar. Here is a list of things that do not work or do not work correctly with this "heirloom" that was treated with so much care- Power locks Power windows (switch smokes when putting windows up) Radio Speedometer Temp gauge Horn Volt gauge Gas gauge Dome light Wipers, windshield washer Air Conditioning Brake light on in dash when sensor is plugged back up Speakers in back deck, one of them literally dangling from one screw/nut Every belt needed to be replaced Transmission leaked Issue with the power steering Alternator needed to be replaced My initial plan was to have the car shipped but once I realized the shipper they recommended was also shady, I drove there and picked the vehicle up. **** is going to point out that it wasn't until I arrived home that I had a problem. I had a very small window of opportunity to pick the car up and get out of the area due to very severe storms and possible tornados being predicted for the area. **** actually uses this to justify the lies and shadiness of himself and his staff.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/24) */ Contact Name and Title: **** ******* Sales Manage Contact Phone: XXXXXXXXXX Contact Email: ************@streetsideclassics.com We have already offered to settle with this buyer for $2,125 and have emails backing that up. The buyer also was previously requesting only $4,250 but now suddenly the number has gone up even more. He said that he would not take our settlement and would rather leave us bad reviews instead. He purchased the vehicle as-is and accepted delivery of the vehicle in person. Regardless of "potential" weather he had a chance to address these items before delivery but did not. We will still honor our offer to split his initial request which is what we feel is fair for a used vehicle that is 41 years old. Consumer Response /* (3000, 16, 2022/05/31) */ I do not, nor will I accept the offer from Brad at Streetside Classics. As you can see, Brad really thinks that I am to blame for the dishonesty of himself and his sales rep. Because I didn't catch his lies while at his dealership, it's my fault he and his rep lied. Amazing!! It has been difficult to negotiate with Brad because Brad is dishonest and has no authority. In my first phone conversation with Brad, Brad admitted that his boy Jim Gorel was a liar. We discussed the numerous issues with the car and Brad said he didn't have any authority but would discuss it with the "higher ups". In my second phone conversation with Brad, Brad stated that "we're thinking $3,000.00 to $3,500.00" to which I stated "absolutely not, I'll give it some thought and email you my number to settle". I emailed Brad my offer of $4,250.00 and as you can see, he countered with half that. To which I stated I would rather trash you and your dealership every place I can find online than to let you get over on me. Here is the bottom line- I paid $28,500.00 for a $17,000 - $18,000 car because it was misrepresented and I was lied to. I also informed Brad at the time of my $4,250.00 offer that it could go up as I continued to dig into this junk car he sold me. I continued to dig, and my offer went up. This thing has ore wrong with it than is right with it. My offer is $5,500.00 at this point. Streetside Classics is a very shady dealership and I do not accept their offer. Business Response /* (4000, 16, 2022/06/22) */ As we stated before several of the items the customer is upset about was listed in our initial listing. We said the A/C and radio were not working and yet the customer is still complaining these items were non-operational. We attempted to settle with the customer but he did not agree with the amount. He initially was requesting a $10k refund with which we replied there is no way repairs could even cost that much, what he was quoting were repairs more like $3,000-3,500 issues BEFORE you take into account the A/C and radio which were very clearly disclosed as not working in our description. Therefore, our offer to settle was less because we should not be responsible for those items.
