LEMON CAR LOT, DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE SHINY, DRESSED UP, NEWER VEHICLES WITH UNDERLYING TRANSMISSION AND MOTOR ISSUES THAT THEY WILL NEVER MENTION TO YOU!!! Spent 4,000$ for down payment deposit. had the car about 2 weeks and noticed transmission was missing when I went to take off, took it to my uncle's shop in mount pleasant, he is a master mechanic and owns a shop that's been on mainstreet opened for over 40 years, he changed filters, ran new fluids, did everything he knew to do, & that helped with the missing issue for about a week and a half, then I started to notice it was missing again. Called the Auto Mart II & they told me to bring it in & would have a man they used in AL to look at the transmission AGAIN (it was never mentioned to me there were ever any issues with the car, believe me I asked. After they had vehicle for 2 weeks, never once calling me to tell me ANYTHING, I called up to office multiple times and was told multiple different things but never a clear answer. Finally the last call I made to them was to tell them I would need to know something of have a rental car or something as transportation to and from work and my kids schools, they THEN told me the transmission was shot & I could either fork over the money to pay for a new transmission in a 2016 ***** Enclave that I had for less than 45 days, 1/4 of those days it being in the shop and not drivable, OR I could give them another $1,500 & they could put me in a same year, same model vehicle, but was "loaded" so would cost me that much more money to drive it home. The ***** I had originally gotten from them was loaded. tv's in the seats, double sunroof, brown leather, GPS, so I told them no. I would rather at this point, since I can't trust anything anyone is telling me or get a straight answer half the time... I told them I just wanted my money back.. First I was told flat out no, then I asked to speak with the owner & after we talked and I explained to him how I did not believe it was fair to me to put the cost of the transmission on me, since I had the car less than 45 days & it was in the shop with my uncle & them about half that time, He did not want to discuss returning me any of the money I had put down as a deposit & wasn't dealing with it. It took me and my fiancee going and talking to a lawyer & threatening legal action that the owner then called my fiancee, who is also a business owner & Told us to come and get a check, the check h gave me was for 2,500$ & I had put down over 4,000$ PLUS taxes. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOT, NOT THE WAY YOU DO BUSINESS!!!
