I bought a 96 ***** which needed work. The first thing i wanted to do was fix the exhaust, it was rusted and missing pipes from mufflers back. I ordered headers, catalytic converter, and mufflers. Took it to mexicano auto repair in ******* to install and build the pipes for it. During installation, it was found the headers did not fit. I asked mexicano to use the existing exhaust manifolds and complete the job. When mexicano completed the job and I started up the truck, it had air leaking out and didnt sound quite right. I attributed it to the manifolds being old and letting air escape. I ordered and installed the new exhaust manifold on the passenger side but still sounded as air was escaping. I took the truck to another mechanic shop (Corner Garage). He found one of the o2 sensor holes had not been covered/ welded closed. Also, each weld joint mexicano auto did was only welded on half of the pipes. The side welded was only the visible areas but the pipes were not welded all the way around. This was also allows air to escape Mexicano auto charged me $798 for half the job. I had to pay Corner Garage to re-do their shotty welding. I called mexicano auto to let them know about the low quality of service they provided me. Asked for some money back. Its been two weeks , have not heard back from mexicano auto.
