Spoke to *** about purchasing a building. Placed deposit. Seller expressed I was responsible for permitting and site p***. Expressed to seller that I didn't know if I could get permits processed and concrete within time frame (15 days) and that I needed to seek out additional contractors in that area. Made several attempts to accomplish land p*** but was unable to meet requirements for building purchased. Reached out to seller. Expressed building is not going to be able to be put on property because it needed to be engineered for through county. ****** said it had engineer plans that were ok for *******. They were incorrect. Ask to switch product. Seller confirmed no materials were purchased and no expense was occurred by them on order but they were unwilling to return deposit in full or apply full deposit towards building that would not require permits, engineering and concrete.Initial Complaint

Placed 4 payments as down payment totaling $4000.00. Only $636.00 was forwarded to finance company. Stopped in to buisness in person was promised issue would be resolved right away. Now 6 weeks later its still not resolved. I get no answer when phone buisness. Have left multiple messages with no response. Called finance company, they contacted blacks and was told it would be resolved, and that they would contact me. Which they have not. Called finance company again, they contacted blacks and was told again that it would be resolved and they would e-mail me the corrected contract for my signature. I am still unable to get any response from blacks.Business response

We were having issues with the software that we use to process orders/ accept payments. Your contract has been corrected, and now shows the correct amount for your down payment. We purchased a 14x40 metal A frame roof building from Blacks Building on 4-8-2021. We chose rent to own and paid the down payment of 533.62 and a deposit of 350.00. Building was to be delivered on June 10, 2021 in which it was not. We were taken into the facility and showed where our building would be made which was also a lie. We were never kept updated on the progress of our building. I had to call only to be not answered. The electrician called and told us our building was in Cookeville and he needed us to come there to map out the electrics in which we did and the first the we noticed was damage to the building, doors were wrong, wrong windows and loft incorrect size. The electrician and us contacted them about this damage. We were told it would be taken care of. On date of delivery it was still damaged. We tried to refuse delivery but we're told we could not and it was set up damaged. Delivery crew contacted Nathan Reagan whom we used the entire time and we were told they would have a crew out within the week. Again a lie. I called weeks later and was transferred to the owner and he said he would be sending someone and a guy called texted stating he would be out the following week. I contacted Nathan this past week via messenger and he said his repair guy would be out to do repairs by end of week. Still nothing and when no one has contacted us or will they accept our calls. Since they refuse to do the repairs we should be credited that off the original price and since they broke the contract multiple times we should be given our deposit back immediately. I am attaching photos and Mr. Black has been sent these photos via email and all info with no response of any kind.
