I just adopted my second dachshund and I know they take great care to get the dogs whatever medical care they need and to find them the right forever home. The President and foster moms are wonderful and rescue dachshunds from all sorts of sad situations. I would highly recommend them if you want to rescue a dachshund or two.

My husband and I adopted a smooth hair mini dachshunds in July 2022 from AADR (Piper.) All went very well! The application is involved, but necessary (and worth it.) We were quickly contacted after by the foster. She was amazing-told us about Piper. Next, the President of the organization contacted us. She gave clear instructions of the adoption process. Before we knew it, we had our virtual home visit & we're planning to pick Piper up. The whole process from start to finish took approximately 2 weeks-much faster than I thought could be possible. I would adopt through AADR again. The entire network of volunteers were just AMAZING! Thank you to all!💕

We have adopted twice from AADR, and both experiences were fantastic. The staff, mostly volunteers, go far above and beyond to make sure the dogs they've rescued go to homes with caring, loving, and responsible families. I've had a few people who've applied and been denied, tell me that AADR is much too strict with their adoption requirements. I disagree with them. AADR cares deeply about the dogs they rescue, and go to great lengths to place dogs with families they trust. Additionally, I can't say enough about the transport team. They give selflessly of their time and money to get the dogs to their new forever homes.
