The client brought in their dog and asked for it to be trimmed. The client stated that they could not get a comb or brush through the hair. When the groomer started combing through the hair she was unable to do so due to matts. Animals can not be trimmed with matts as the blades will not go through. The dog ended up with a shorter hair cut than the client would have liked. ******* explained the matts and the reason for the shorter haircut. Due to the client seeming to be extremely upset with the shorter haircut they were not charged for the service. We have no knowledge of the dog having a "cut" but nicks do happen occasionally when using clippers. Same as a human shaving.

Pet Blvd did what was to be done for the dog and also did not charge due to the client being dissatisfied. The client even acknowledged on social media that they were not charged for the service and given free treats due to being dissatisfied.

Again, the customer was not charged. They are acknowledging they were not charged. They are wanting us to acknowledge that we are not "professional groomers" which is not the case. We are professional in all cases, we go above  and beyond for our clients on multiple occasions. Our store was voted best dog grooming business of Weakley County, **. We have amazing reviews and a highly established reoccurring customer list. People come from *********, and surrounding areas to get their dogs and cats groomed by us. I don't know what else to say in this matter other than the customer didn't educate themselves when it came to purchasing a high maintenance dog. She was completely matted beyond being salvage. In which resulted in being cut down, in this case was not only in their best interest, but the dogs as well. The dog was super tiny and I refused  to pull and tug on a sweet innocent dog. This would have resulted in a first time traumatic grooming experience. That is not what we offer at Pet Blvd. We strive to give the best care to our clients pets. If I spent the time dematting the dog it would have most defiantly resulted in warping their dogs whole grooming experience from the beginning. High maintenance dogs have a life time of grooming ahead of them being they live their life expectancy. With that ****** said the first time impression is everything. At the end of the day this matter was handled in the best way Pet Blvd could have handled it. Just to reiterate THEY WERE NOT CHARGED, they were given FREE TREATS AND A COLLAR. We apologized multiple times and tried to get them to understand why the dog had to be cut down. After leaving the store they then turned to social media to bash the business and make false statements about the business and their experience. When all of this could have been avoided if they would have brushed their dog and did the research to educate themselves on what type of maintenance this dog would require on a week to week basis.
