My wife and I bought a 2013 Ford F150 approximately 3 to 4 weeks ago from ideal. **** sold us the vehicle and we asked would he put his child in the vehicle. He advised yes and would drive it with no question. After two days of having the vehicle and less than 100 miles driven the check engine light came on. Had it checked and was for catalytic converter issues. Called multiple times and was informed we were told about the emissions and that was a straight lie because we would not have bought it regardless of TN is emissions free state. Advised about AC not cooling now also. Was informed on multiple calls would call back and they have yet to call me. I can upload the receipt where we just paid almost $4500 to replace both catalytic converters and replace the evaporator core and box. I would like to be reimbursed for what we had to pay to repair that was known to be faulty and not relayed to is when buying the vehicle. I know the codes can be reset and the engine light would go off for 100 or so mies and come back on. The av could be charged to just make sure it is cold long enough to sell the vehicle. This is what it feels like was done and the vehicle sold under false pretense. I would like for the business to make this right and we are only asking for reimbursement for the repairs we had to pay on a vehicle we only have had less than a month.

I would like to sit with the owner and salesman and have the salesman tell me to my for the check engine light was on.  I reject this response because that is clearly a lie as why would someone knowingly pay over blue book/black book and/or NADA for a vehicle with issues.  We were blatantly told the vehicle was sound.  I would be open to writing a formal statement and take a lie detector test to prove we are being lied to.  My wife and I even tried to advise that we understood buying the vehicle as is and asked once again any issues and was told no.  I paid more than the vehicle was worth due to the lift kit already installed and saving me time from installing one.  I am only asking for help with cost of the repairs and not the vehicle returned.  If we can't come to a resolution I have no choice but to go to the news so others aren't caught up in a bad deal.

I purchased on November 15, 2021, a 2007 Cadillac Escalade for $13,100.00 plus a trade of a 2001 Dodge Dakota. This transaction was done online and by telephone. Pictures of the vehicle showed a nice looking vehicle. It was delivered to my home and was not what i expected. The vehicle has a substantial amount of rust on the undercarriage, on door panels and on the rocker panels. The air conditioning does not work, lights won't stay on, traction control light comes on, back up camera doesn't work and i have spent over $800 in repairs and my mechanic doesn't want to work on the vehicle for fear of breaking something else because of the amount of rust. It has an active oil leak and transmission lines are leaking too. Tie rod ends are rusted, all boots on transaxel are torn. I'm 72 years old and was not able healthwise to go to Maryville to pick up the vehicle. I would not have purchased it had i gone to pick it up. I would have sent the vehicle back but was told by the dealer it was a done deal and i could not send it back. I've tried to talk to the dealer but he is very rude and hung the phone up on me.

Consumer Response /* (3000, 6, 2022/05/01) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Mr. ******* states that i never showed up which is true. The reason was health problems which was the reason that i purchased the car online. I was not physically able to make the trip to Tennessee. I didnt drive the vehicle when it arrived. It was the holidays and was not getting out because of my health. I am now on dialysis and have been since January. Vehicle needed repairs in january and had to wait on my mechanic for a couple weeks before he could get to it. Then in February, vehicle didnt run for three weeks and back for more repairs. I paid with a credit card which they ran three times and it was denied. At that point i was done with this transaction. The dealer ran it a fourth time, without my permission or calling me to say he was running it again and it went through and we had a done deal and i had to take the vehicle. My mistake was signing papers electronically before my payment was accepted. I trusted these people. I trusted that the vehicle was as pictured on their website which was far from true. I never told anyone at IDeal that i would keep the vehicle and the money. That absolutely was never my intention. I did tell them to come and get the vehicle. The salesman was so rude and threatening me with grand theft auto that he just ignored my telling him to take the vehicle back. At the time it was not running and had not run in several weeks. I expected a car that i paid over $14,000 for to run for at least a thousand miles. To me the right thing to do ,especially if a person is buying a vehicle without going to look at it, would be to let the buyer know that there were issues with the real condition of the vehicle. This business knew this vehicle was in bad condition and covered it up with body filler and paint and were dishonest in not being forthcoming with pictures of the rust on doors and undercarriage. They can come and get the vehicle anytime and refund what i paid. I will still be out about $1,000 and the truck i traded in. Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2022/05/16) */ Mr. *** had called I-Deal and said he wanted his trade in back. He was told it had already been sold and that he could come to the lot and look at other vehicles. Mr. ***never showed up. We did not hear from him again. Four months after purchase of his vehicle he stopped payment on his credit card and the funds were taken out of our account. I had to call the bank to see what was going on. Still no contact from Mr. ***. The bank explained what had happened. A salesperson called Mr. *** and he was planning on keeping the car and his money. We had to fill out paperwork with the credit card and explain our side. The credit card company sided with us and returned his payment to our bank.
