Purchased a "Twin City Certified" 2016 Audi Q4 from the Twin City Dealership on 411S in Maryville,TN on 12/9//23. We had the vehicle for less than a week when the check oil light came on. We checked the oil and it was low 1 qt. Oil was added per manufactures guidelines. This continued for every 300-400 miles I would have to add a quart of Oil. We took the car for inspection to Kadunza Euro Auto repair specialists for evaluation of oil comsumption. After inspection, they stated this particular engine was recalled for piston and piston ring failure. Further inspection under the car revealed both axles in the f***t were broken and in need of replacement. Total cost for repairs to engine and axles were priced near $10,000.00. We returned the car to Twin City who did nothing. They basically said Sorry. No offer was ade to trade for another vehicle or any type of consulation. This vehicle was marketed and sold as a "certified" vehicle but obviously their "certification process" is flawed seeing that they "missed" the broken axles and knew about the inferior engine. They did not offer an extended warrenty upon purchase of vehicle.Business response

To whom it may concern, ***** *** *** ****purchased an Audi Q5 from Twin City Certified on December 9th. On December 6th we had this vehicle inspected at our Nissan dealership. At that time the technician stated that the Audi needed an oil and filter change, 4 tires and a balance. We approved to have that done. The service was then completed and then the Audi was listed for sale at the Twin City Certified location. The complaint from the ******* (***) was on the 4th of January when he visited our dealership and spoke to his salesman (*****) about the issues he was having with his Audi. (axles and vehicle burning oil) After clearly voicing his opinion he left the vehicle at the store. Once Mr. ****** addressed his concerns on Jan 5th Twin City agreed to have the Audi inspected by a 3rd party to get a second opinion. On January 8th/9th the 3rd party stated that the Audi did need two axles. I personally asked the technician is there any way possible that the previous technician that looked at the vehicle on the 6th missed the axles being broken when they replaced the tires. The technician said it is highly unlikely because for one that's how technicians get paid and secondly most importantly there would be grease slung everywhere from the axle boot being busted. The technician said this is a normal wear and tear item and that this could happen at any time. Mr. ******* other concern was that the vehicle was burning oil and that he was having to add oil every 300-400 miles. Once inspected by the 3rd party the technician stated that this is normal for Audi's to burn more than normal oil and that Audi recommends adding oil every 1,000 miles. This statement is actually from the manufacturer. Mr. ******* complaint needs to be with the manufacturer not Twin City. We have done nothing w***g. Mr. ****** failed to mention that when his wife came in to the dealership on the 11th to pick her Audi up, she apologized for her husband's actions. (he threatened to talk to an attorney, the BBB, and that we sell shitty cars , etc.)Just fyi, my salesman did in fact state to Mrs. ****** that we could look at trading you all out of this vehicle.
Sincerely,
***** *****

I am rejecting this response because:
As pictured the axles were bust prior to ppurchass. Hence the old grease being slug all over the inter rim.As for oil consumption yes Audji recommends adding 1qt per 1k miles. Not 1 qt every 300 miles. As for the owners busting the axle, who in there right mind would go spend 20k on a car and the bo and Luke duke it over a train trestle. Mr ****** made 0 attempt at offers another trade. This was supposed to be a certified car. Certified as junk. Myself, family, and friends wil never consider a Twin City Dealership again

I traded in my car that barely had any miles on it and no issues. For a van because we were about to have our 3rd child. After the purchase I left the dealership and was heading home and noticed some issues. I called them the next day and they told me that I had to wait for the warranty to kick in before they could do anything. So I called 2 weeks later when the warranty went into affect. And they said someone would call me back and they never did. I called back again 2 weeks later and the van now has more issues. Everytime I call its always the same, someone will call back. At this point it's been 2 months and it still has not been fixed. And I don't feel like it's save for my 3 girls to ride in it. I just want them to fix it as promised.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/09/30) */ , we apologize for the experience you feel you have had with us. As a certified store our vehicles undergo rigorous inspection to ensure we can offer a quality product. The certification extends to vehicles 10 years old or newer and under 100,000 miles. The vehicle you purchased did not meet this criteria but you did purchase an extended powertrain warranty. Upon further investigation done by the mechanic of your choice it was determined that the issue you're experiencing is not a covered (powertrain) component. We will be glad to assess the value of your van in its current condition and offer you a more-than-fair trade-in value.
