I went around and got three estimates for installing a subwoofer. I repeatedly stated I wanted clarity and bass when discussing my options at 901 Sounds. I have a new vehicle and a Bose system now and wanted to enhance it. ***** assured me that the 10 inch dual Rockford Fosgate would do the job . I discussed other shops recommended compact , jbl, and jl. I was clear no exaggerated bass just enhancement and clarity . I dropped my car off at an agreed upon time at 12 noon Wednesday 01/08/2025 and then it would be done that afternoon. It wasnt complete until Thursday at 3 pm. As soon as I got in it and tried my audio , noticeable the subwoofer rattles, reverberates and is exaggerated bass. The conversation got heated between ***** and I to the point of almost yelling and talking over one another . I dont feel like my expectations were met . I feel I was sold a product I do not want. Im left disappointed and truly frustrated with little faith it can be rectified after the explosive confrontation . I spoke to the technician , was a super nice guy but he explained I could just keep making bass adjustment which is not what I want either. The female representative was extremely comforting and helpful as well .Now, I have these modifications have to my new car, have a subwoofer that I do not want and have no clear resolutionBusiness Response

I wish we could have dialed in and fine-tuned your sound system with you being present before we took your vehicle to Enfield's Detail for you. The sound system I recommended for you has the ability to be fine-tuned and adjusted to your comfort and levels of sound quality that you're looking for.
We also wanted to apologies for delivering your vehicle late to infields detailing, we didn't realize time got away from us. These newer cars are a little bit more delicate to work on. I know you were steaming after the overall experience but I'm glad we able to get all your concerns addressed.
We thank you for you feedback and kind words about our staff members. I also wanted to tell you that I appreciate your phone call on the back end of things.

Hey man, I have been up there, called several times and now you are replying for me to continue to call when you purposefully do not return my call. You can have your equipment back and I want a refund. Why dont you call me back and we can schedule an appointment. I am rejecting this response because: You contacted me Saturday Feb 15 and we messaged back and forth. The day the speakers were installed I came to your business and expressed my dissatisfaction in person that the speakers rattle and cause reverberation. They in no way enhanced clarity or added bass that I explicitly requested and thought I was purchasing. I agreed that day to drive around and listen to it further. The next day I had the same conclusion so I contacted you and spoke to you on the phone. Again, expressing my extreme dissatisfaction. It is this loud thumping bass sound that gives the impression a teenager would want in their vehicle. Not in anyway something I asked for. Your comment was you would tell the Technician. I never heard back from you so I called twice more. I am confused why you would respond on here you havent heard from me and that you were unclear with my concern. I stated it emphatically in person to you directly and then again over the phone. My vehicle has a Bose premium system. I wanted to enhance the sound clarity/ quality and add some bass. I shopped around and got three estimates. I visited you twice and dealt with you on both occasions. What you sold me and installed in my vehicle is exaggerated bass. The sound clarity in the vocals is masked by the rattle of the bass and reverberation . Its like a boom box was added. This is in no way what I wanted. It has taken over a month to get a response from you. You stated and even promised you would make it right but you didnt the day I showed up in person nor the next day when I phoned then never called me back. The actions and words dont align. It was my understanding from this past Saturday, that we agreed I would come by and you would do whatever it takes to give me what I thought I was purchasing. In other words to make it right so again I m left confused with your response on here. Its like you are just trying to sound like you are resolving the issue but again, nothing happens to do it. Meaningless words to suffice a BBB complaint.

October 9 2024 I purchased a set of headlights and the installation for my car for $358.74 from 901 Sounds. They made me pay upfront. When I took it in for installation, the installer said the lights were not compatible. The manager ***** said he could not refund the money and the owner, ***, would have to do it. The installer put the box containing the lights in my car without telling me. 901 Sounds has been telling me for a week they will call me when *** comes in. Each ***, ***** told me *** would be in tomorrow. I have attempted for over a week to return the lights that will not work with my car for a refund. They sold me a product that would not work, along with labor they did not complete. It appears 901 Sounds has no intentions to refund the money.Business Response

I go by my middle name ***** to be clear. I have been to that shop/store 3 times already for a radio malfunctioning. The third time my car was probably in the shop for ***** minutes but I was waiting for 4 hours just to get another malfunctioning radio or entertainment center. I have been trying to talk with the owner about the issue but I feel this person is ducking and dodging me. I just want to get a car radio that functions. The last time, I was there one of clerks ***** was trying to sell me on buying a more expensive unit. At this point, I just want to get a radio that works that's it.Business Response

Good day All, I went back to 901 S&AA and talked with the owner ***. Me and him sat down and went over my complaints, concerns, and all other issues on my purchase. I will say *** handled it very professionally and he even upgraded my unit to a 4000 series from the same product line. We had a very thorough conversation about handling any kind of future issues. Right now, I will test out the 4000 series for a month and If I had any problems or headaches *** himself will get his techs to look further into resolving the issue. In March of 1920, I had this company to install power ************* windows on my ****** Frontier (2017). Recently, on May 3, 2024 I returned. ***************** informed me that he had diagnosed the issue and was going to order the part. I was also advised that in order for the part to be ordered and the work performed, a deposit of half the cost of the work performed would need to be paid. I paid $170.80 at this time. May 9, 2024, I was called and asked to come in so the repair could be made. I did come on on My 10, 2024. I was again told what the issue was and again told that the part would need to be ordered. I was again told that I would be contacted when the part was received for repair. On May 20, 2024, I was called by *************************, Sales Specialist and asked to come in for repair. I arrived on May 24, 2024. Again, I was advised of the identified issue (now having been allegedly identified three (3) times. I was again told that the part had not been ordered. Well, at this point, as any other person, I was quite irritated with this merry go round of a process to have my repair done. I inquired about obtaining a refund for the deposit of $170.80 which was made on May 3, 2024 to secure the repair. I was advised that all refunds had to be approved by *** (insert last name), who is the manager/owner. I was then given his phone number. I texted *** on that day. He asked that I give him a couple of days to research the problem and he'd get back with me. After two more weeks of not hearing from him I again traveled to 901 a fourth time. Still after six weeks the part had not been ordered nor the refund approved. I immediately texted ***. After some ************ of text messages, *** made it clear that he was minimally NOT in any hurry to make the repair or issue the refund requested. Yes, I went in order and amplifier for my car. On December 27th 2023 was told it would be here in no more than 12 weeks. I contacted the manufacture of the amp. And they told me unequivocally that there was no such amp. There would not be a newer model. But They had no idea when it would come out that I would not be receiving the amp. I notified. 901 sounds of this. In ******* was told that they were gonna contact their guy from kicker. Which is the company who makes the amplifier and get back to me? Never did so I continued to wait 2 more months went in for my money. Back Say that there was no problem with giving me my money was told they could not do it that particular time.Because the manager wasn't there. They would get back to me. Went back every day for a week was told they still didn't know when the manager would be there made phone calls. They would put me on hold and not come back knowing who I was. Not to mention 3 days after I ordered it. ***********************, who the salesman? I've been dealing with calls me and says they need more money. That the guy called him and said the new amps were out and it was gonna be on the way. This is back the first week of ******* 2024, so I've just been getting stories and the run around And again, there is no item that's coming. I have emails from kicker. So many customers nationwide are still waiting for these particular amplifiers to ship. They are all allocated and whenever your amplifier arrived, we will still reach out to you in case you are interested in the purchase. Please note we approved a dispute you initiated with your credit card company for a full refund back in Jan 2024.

Thank you for taking time contacting the BBB in regard to your complaints. We appreciate ***************************** feedback. After speaking to Manager *********************** in regard to her first purchase on November 11, 2011, ****** had purchased a LED kit to light up her under carriage. After completing the install, she wasn't satisfied and wanted more LED Lights. Out of **************** we agreed to add more additional LED lights to her vehicle. She was satisfied. The LED Light Kit comes with a One-year manufacture warranty along with the installation.
************************* came back to 901 Sounds *** and purchased some tires for her 2019 Chevrolet Malibu in Jan 14, 2023. We mounted and balanced all four tires. She was satisfied and her order was fulfilled. ************************* contacted ***************************** regards to having a flat tire. ************************* asked ************************* to bring in the damaged tire in order for us to assess the damage and figure out if we could help her by diagnosing the tire. We were planning on helping her out. Of customer service.
Instead, ************************* attempted to drop off all four tires to us and claimed she didn't need them anymore. We clearly told her our terms and conditions and made it clear to her that we could not refund her the tires back. Rather than bring in the damaged tire, she attempted to abandon all four of her tires. When *********************** explained the store policy to *************************, she didn't want to acknowledge it. I'm sorry ************************* feels this way. However we did more than enough to assist her in diagnosing her damaged tire.

901 Sounds are horrible, they responded with a lie never abandoned my tires, I was happy when I left I even tip ***** 20$ January 15, 2022 the next week my car went into *********************** for service and I didn't get my car back until March 3 2022 that same day I caught a flat the tire was brand new but dry rotten, the person who responded back have no clue he is just trying to stay off the bad list. I want to whatever to take them out of business they are ripping peoples off and talk smart and treat like trash once your money is spent, I have no reason to lie they have gotten ***** of money all together and both time the work was horrible, but my fault I gave them a second chance never ever again

I ordered some lights from here two months ago to get put in my car. They ordered me the wrong lights then they put them in. I told them the lights wasnt right so they said theyll order me another set. Two mints pass by still no lights. Thank you for taking time reaching out to me today. I spoke to *********************** Manager at 901 Sounds *** in regards to this complaint. *********************** informed me ********************************** had ordered some headlights for his 2014 ************ in November 2022. The headlights were installed in December 2022. During the installation we noticed the bumper/ the front end was damaged. The bumper wasnt installed properly due to it being in a accident or something of that nature. *********************** told the customer we would try to fix his bumper since we needed to remove it to install his new headlights. When we completed the install on the headlights we did our very best to tighten and install his bumper back into place.
But his bumper was so damaged it caused the headlights to point down to low and it was very difficult to see the road. The customer was well aware of this.
********************************** had coordinated a day to bring his vehicle back in for service to straighten out the headlights with *********************** since the front end / bumper was repaired.
In February 2023 ********************************** came back to 901 Sounds *** and had us make the correct adjustments to his headlights.
********************************** the correct headlights , ********************************** repaired his bumper/ Front end, His headlights are also installed properly. The payments that are coming out of ********************************** account are for the headlights we special ordered for you.
I could understand how frustrating this process could be. However ********************************** knew the process was time consuming due to his damage on the front end / bumper.

12/15/21 my sales representative ***** at 901 sounds told me that I had a 1 year warranty on the speaker system that I was credit purchasing. When they told me my car was ready I drove it off smelling something burning and the next day I continued to smell burning and the treble went out on the door speakers that was newly installed. I tried several times to reach the business with no response and by me being a truck driver it was difficult for me to keep trying when I had to go back out on the road. Finally after almost a years wait I got ***** on the phone and he made an appointment for Wednesday 14 of 2022 and went I got there he was acting frustrated and didn't even remember the appointment that he made. Everytime I tried explaining what's going on with the equipment he didn't want to hear it. He got my keys and took my car around back and about 20 minutes he came and told me that the speakers were fine which were under warranty and tried to tell me that my sub speakers were blown which was a lie! After that we had words and I told him you will be hearing from me in the future regarding this matter. I reached out to the creditors that are deducting payments from me several times and they are repeatedly making me false promises and telling me I have to keep paying for the equipment that doesn't work.Business Response

After looking into your complaint, I understand how frustrating things can get when your equipment stops functioning.Everything 901 Sounds **** retails comes with a one year manufacturer warranty. This manufacture warranty is avoided when merchandise is physically, damaged or installation is tampered with.***********************, your sales representative warranted your subwoofers the first time out of customer service, but he noted and pointed out to you that subwoofers in your trunk or blown due to the fact you had merchandise and equipment laying on your subwoofers.You left our establishment, happy and satisfied, because *********************** went above and beyond to take care of you.Typically wind, an object lays on a subwoofer or speaker you apply pressure in force, and that creates friction. Which will set up your subwoofer to either blow or melts.Think of putting your vehicle and drive while your car is pressed on a wall. Your transmission will eventually give out.You came back in a month later, with the same problem, this time *********************** told you that he was not going to warrantee them for you. He asked if you could at least help him with the cost of shipping since we would need to ship your Wolfers out to get repaired. You agreed to that and paid the freight fees.You cannot abuse these subwoofers and expect them to be covered under warranty. Anytime you abuse a subwoofer or speaker. The coils internally will start to burn and create a smoky smell.I can tell you at the end of the day. *********************** went above and beyond to satisfy ******* ****** Just because he didnt get what he wanted it does not mean we are in the wrong.Our terms and conditions clearly states our policy. Your warranty will be voided if there is any tampering with our installation or if theres any damage done to the equipment.Your equipment was purchased in November 2021, and your warranty was effective until November 2022. On May 16, ***** we had ********************************* a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado. Prior to the appointment, we were assured they could install a new stereo that worked like the factory-installed stereo. We chose a stereo and were quoted a price. In the first installation attempt, 901Sound asked us to pay additional money to cover a more expensive installation component because the original bracket did not fit. They also informed us we needed a more expensive stereo to have *************** We upgraded the stereo and agreed to pay for the bracket. On June 1, 2022, we went inside to pick up the vehicle when the work was completed. We were asked to pay the invoice before being given our keys. Our sales representative went outside to the truck with us to go over the new stereo, and we discovered many problems that could not be fixed that day. After at least six trips over four weeks to 901Sound to fix various components (hissing radio, no fade, column controls not working, horrible sound), we gave up and asked 901 Sound to reinstall the factory stereo and give us a refund. At this time, we were told they have a policy of all sales final. Our salesperson agreed the new stereo did not utilize all speakers, the factory-installed microphone no longer worked, and the fade features did not work. We requested the original stereo be re-installed, and our sales representative agreed. On July 8, 2022, we picked up the truck with the original stereo reinstalled and our salesperson said he would talk to his manager and call us the next day regarding a refund. After two days with no call from the salesperson or the management, we texted the salesperson, and 24 hours later, he responded that his manager was out of town. It has been over a week, and we have not heard from 901Sound regarding the refund. The installation did not work as promised, and we do not have any equipment from 901Sound. When you upgraded your factory stereos, the aftermarket stereos have more features however you lose some of your current factory features. After reading and understanding your complaint, We were able to track down your merchandise, we totally agree with you, and we will agree to your refund request.
