i nominate Shelby county credit union for the worst credit union in the country. they don't answer the phone.i think they only work 3 days a week.. they dont email or call u back. i applied for a car loan 3 weeks ago.. a week goes go by and didn't hear anything so i called and they asked for my w-2. why didn't they ask for that on the front end?!? another week has gone by and i still haven't heard anything. Do not waste your time with this lazy credit union. Whoever runs this place should be fired.Review from Suzanne V

Worst and slowest customer service Ive ever had and not even deserving of one star. I applied online for a used car loan on 9/18 and never heard back, except for automatically generated email with confirmation number. Eight days later on 9/26 they FINALLY ran my credit check, but I still didnt hear anything via phone or email. (Meanwhile, I applied for loans at **** of America and at the dealership within those same 8 days and was approved for both within minutes.). Before signing papers at dealership, I tried to call branch to see if their interest rate might be lower but was on hold 16 minutes. I drove to the ************* in person to inquire about status of my loan. After waiting in lobby for 5 minutes, she asked if I had two references a full 9 days after my original application!!! Why didnt they bother asking for that on the front end? Disgusted that I had already had to chase them down to try and give them my business and yet they still didnt have all the info they needed (because they never reached out in the entire 9 days), so I just left and accepted the ****** dealership loan. I will never even attempt to do business with them again.
