Asked for visit upon insurance request of McCabe. They sent a man literally at least 400 lbs . He was so large it labored him to get out of truck. He was rude didnt want to look at all the storm damage. I felt he didnt want to be bothered. So when I asked about about his attitude he left.? no estimate. I told insurance company(State Farm) and they did nothing. It seems I need to handle getting someone and pay them myself. ******** .?

This complaint is simply inappropriate. I hope I do not need to elaborate as to why. Will include details below regarding ******************** site inspection. Her agent's office and we agreed she was not pleased because the damages did not warrant a claim for insurance coverage.

This job was called in and inspected in April of 2023. Project Manager's notes below from post inspection in real time.

"Called and spoke with policyholder's State Farm Agent. Explained to her that the damages to the home were not enough to equate to a claim and does not closely reach the insured's deductible. The insured was not happy with the information I shared with her after the inspection. She grew extremely irate, even came out to my truck as I was on the phone with the agent and he heard the conversation with the insured. I have sent photos to agent so they have them for documentation."

** July 2022 McCabe finished replacing my floors due to a February 2022 pipe freeze that subsequently ruined my floors. My insurance paid out over 40,000$ for replacement costs. After just a month I noticed my floors were cupping. This seemed impossible because they had just been replaced and there was no sign of any moisture issues in the house. As the floors began to get worse it became clear to me there was an issue and in October I called McCabe back out to the house to check their work. I was assured whatever they could do to make it right would be done. Representatives from American Leak Detection came out to check the plumbing and confirmed there were no leaks in the house. HVAC professionals came out to check those systems and confirmed my heating and air was working perfectly and there were no moisture issues. My contractor, *********************, decided then and there that nothing could be done until we determined the source of the moisture causing the cupping and he has been extremely hard to get ahold of ever since. This is where I began doing my own research. The method used for replacing the floor is called the Screeds System. This system very clearly states the importance of using a moisture barrier when putting the floors in for this EXACT reason. When I saw them using this method, I was curious, so I took a picture; this is how I know a moisture barrier was not used, I just didnt know it mattered until months later when researching this method. As it stands, my contractor, *********************, is ignoring my call to action for McCabe to come make things right. As I understood it, their promise to me was to restore my home back to its original form before I had water damage and it is plainly obvious that they have failed in doing this. If I were to try and resell my home right a home inspector would instantly make me replace the floors due their their mistake.
