I checked into Americas Best Value Inn & Suites dates July 13, 2021 -July 24,2021 . I was promised a newly renovated room that was located in the front portion of the business. The total monies paid was 535.00. The was not renovated at all instead run old torn drapes , dirty carpet and bathroom floor dirty with old dead bugs on the floor and a toilet that run water constantly. They promised breakfast in the morning but nothing was served in packages nothing very misleading. During the stay , one night I noticed a dark blood soaked stain located on the fitted sheet at the mattress seam at the foot of the bed. I did not know what it was . When the cleaning people came the next morning , I alerted them by showing them the st ain area. The man and lady looked at the stain and changed the linen. She asked if management had been notified and I said no. I tried asking for the manager but never was able to see him or speak by phone. After check out day I started noticing big red bumps on my skin and started itching and scratching alot on my arms, back and other areas of my body. I thought it was mosquito bites at first but the pain worsened and worsened. I went to the dr and discovered I had been bitten by bedbugs. My life has been a nightmare since then with pain discomfort for my family and I . I moved into my brand new home after leaving the hotel and my home was infested and family members were also bitten by bedbugs. When I tried calling again to speak with management. I first was informed to call in the morning . I did this three times but each time was told he was not in. The very last I tried in on October 13, 2021, the man asked what it was concerning and I shared some information . His behavior was very inappropriate he started yelling and stated " we've never had any complaints , we spray every month and nobody ever complains ". He was very defensive and angry to the point where he refused to provide me the managers name and number and hung up. I paid Terminix !
