We paid $1000 to place a dining room table in the layaway ? at Watts Overstock Outlet at ************************************* When we came back to pay the balance and to get the table, Miss ******, the store manager, told us that she had sold the table, after telling us weeks previously that she was going to charge us a storage fee of $100 per month, to which I agreed, because the table had been there too long, as we were negotiating on the closing of a new home. After Miss ****** told us that she had sold the table, we requested a credit to purchase another table for the $1000 that we had given to layaway the table. Miss ****** adamantly refused to give us a credit and adamantly refused to return our money. We are requesting ?a credit of another table for $1000 or we are asking for our thousand dollars to be returned to us. Please give me a call at ************. My name is *****************************

The 30 day layaway policy of the outlet store became null and void when they accepted another payment from me for the continuance of the layaway. I told the store manager that I would not be able to get the table until May 18 even though she said I told her  the 15th however she indicated to me that she would charge me $100 a month storage fee until the table was delivered to me. . To keep from being charged another $100 for storage I came into the store on May 18 as I indicated I would to pay the table out of layaway at which time the manager told me that she had sold the table.

**** 30 day layaway store policy became null and void when she accepted another payment from me to continue the table in the layaway. I am not asking for a return of my money, even though I may want a return of my money, but I will accept an even exchange of an article in her store for the thousand dollars that I paid her for  the table.  I cannot allow her to take $1000 from me with no recourse.. she and I had had an open line of communication and I am wondering why she did not call me as she had done before, and indicate to me that she was going to sell the table instead of surprising me with that terrible news upon my arrival to pay the table out. I am simply asking for an even exchange of an article in her store for the $1000 that I paid her for the table.
