We purchased a truck from this dealership in February 2023. We were told that we would have an extended warranty on the drivetrain. Carz Inc. of Memphis did all of the online banking to get us a loan along with the warranty. We only purchased the truck due to the warranty because we wanted to make sure if any part on the drivetrain went bad that we would have it covered by the warranty. Six months after we purchased this truck the transmission stopped working. We took it to a shop and had them file a claim through the extended warranty. They sent someone out to check the truck and they did say that the transmission had indeed gone bad and needed to be replaced. The extended warranty company called me the next day and asked about the lift kit and the size tires that were on the vehicle. We made no modifications to the truck after purchasing the truck at the dealership. All the modifications that were made were before we purchased it. The extended warranty told us that the warranty was cancelled due to the modifications that we did not make. When I called ******** of Memphis they told me that I should have brought it to them for a transmission flush and that the extended warranty would not have asked to look at the truck if it was at the dealership shop. They proceeded to tell me that they would call the extended warranty and talk to them and give me a call back, and I have yet to have gotten a callback from the dealership. I have not been paying for a truck that is a lemon that I cant even use. It has been sitting at the shop waiting to be pick up by the loan company due to not being able to even drive the truck. I would like them to come and pick the Lemon (Truck) up. It is not what we paid for and we do not want a vehicle that does not work. We were lied to at ******** of Memphis and told that we had a warranty when we could never use it. I believe that this is predatory lending and I will not pay for a vehicle that has been sold to me under false circumstances.Business response

it is our practice to provide each customer with a copy of the coverages prior to choosing to purchase the extended service plan. A complete list of the various options of coverage is also located on the wall where the customer sits to sign. There they can easily review the coverages available in order to make their decision on purchasing the warranty and what coverage tier they prefer. A complete list of the coverages is also on the document in which they must sign stating that they have chosen to purchase the extended service plan. .We regret the failure of this transmission but these things are mechanical and the durability can not always be predicted.
