In September the *******************************, the owner of the company, came and provided us an estimate for a fence. They required 50% down to get on the schedule (1 month out). We paid our deposit and received our install date, Oct 10th. We have not seen him since. He rescheduled a few times and no-showed. After numerous calls, texts, emails we have had no response.Initial Complaint

We contacted ******************************* earlier this year to come fix our fallen fence. In February 2022 we gave him a deposit of almost $2,000 to come fix the fence and we would pay the rest when the work is done. Well they never showed up at first making excuses as to why he's not coming and eventually not responding at all. I have tried contacting him on numerous occasions and I just get more excuses and the runaround. It's now October and we still haven't gotten a ***** back. He's a thief as you can see from all the complaints on here. He's done it to so many people and continues to do it.Initial Complaint

In January of 2022 a registered F1 tornado hit my neighborhood and resulting in damaging my fence. I called American Fence company to fix the fence that was damaged as well as remove all the other fencing that was installed at the property. The existing fencing was old and original to the house 2008. I spoke and meet with ******************************* and set up estimate walk on the property. He showed up on January 31, 2022 ( I have the text string between us for the entire transaction) to get measurements of how much fencing I would need. We agreed on a price at $7600 on February 7, 2022. he asked for half payment of **** so he could order materials. I have the venmo receipt for the transaction as well. On February 21, 2022 workers removed the old fence from the property. The work crew showed back up to the house to set 90 percent of the posts that day and then I never seen them since to install the remaining fencing or required posts. on March 6, 2022 I have a photo of one of his guys on my property picking up all their tools and gas cans they left behind. I requested then when they would be back and I got a response "that was ****** department, he handles scheduling". Countless emails to their website and to ******************************* with no return call or email. I have since contracted another fence company and have had the fence installed using the posted that American fence installed. All I want is my **** bucks back for not completing the job we agreed to. I have the email and contract as well I will share with you. ******************************* Phone number is ************. This company collected a deposit for fence work to be started the first of July. There has been delay after delay and excuse after excuse as to why they haven't been able to start work. I have since seen several other people experiencing the same thing and have requested that this company return my deposit at this point since service was never rendered.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/08/01) */ We were significantly behind in installs due to heat and additionally an unforseen emergency. The customers was only 2 weeks off from the original install date provided 6 weeks earlier. We explained that installs could be up toa week off that far off due to various issues that arise with weather, materials, or land encumbrance issues. This business took a large material deposit of 12, 522.00 for a fence to be installed in December. I have been trying to get this guy to respond or return my money but having no luck.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2022/04/04) */ Yes a deposit was received for a brinzed aluminum fence. After ordering with the supplier they have held American Fencing over a barrel. We gave the supplier the materials costs that was more than the customers deposit. They have yet to supply us the materials, they decided for Cost savings to divert deliveries form an oversees buyer after taking our order. We had no idea they were doing this. They continued to mislead American Fencing on deliveries and remedies. They will not refund orders and we are still waiting on the fencing from China. I have filed suite agaisnt the supplier to be made whole on the fence payment. I have no resolution for the customer at this stage as we have not been made whole by the supplier. I have since learned that this business has left other customers hung out without any form of refunds. They have also lifted there installers without payment. I know of no legit business that would do this to their customers or installer. I'm also aware this owner has recently been on several vacations. I do not believe that our deposit went towards our material s based on this knowledge. This man is criminally negligent and I will be pressing charges.Initial Complaint

I have contracted ******* ******** claimed as a veteran and the owner of American Fencing Co. out of Mt Juliet, TN to install a vinyl fence on our property. We proceeded to transfer the money via ****** because the check I gave him was going to take over 14 days because it was made for the deposit of $5,900.00. He collected the money and stated that he order the material the fist week of June 2021. He informed me at the beginning that it will take about 6 weeks to get the material and by the weekend of July 4th 2021 it was going to be install. Time passed by and I kept asking him about the material because it was already passed the 2nd week of July and he has not even contacted me to inform me on what's going on. He then called me and informed me that it looks like his vendor gave the product to someone else other than him but he has located another vendor to get the material but we will have to wait more. Now we are in August 2021 and we still waiting on the vinyl to arrived. About another month passed and still no material when I tried to call to talk to him he is telling me that calls wont go through but text do. I proceeded to ask ******* what was the status of the material and stated that he has requested the refund back even though the vendor provided a $1,100 rebate that he was going to pass down to me but he need it to order through another vendor because he was placing a $60,000.00 order and he could accommodate my material with the order. This is September - October timeframe now and I continue patiently waiting on the material to come in all because he was a veteran like me and I want to give my business to a veteran business owner. Well is now November 29 2021 waiting on the funds to be return since the beginning of November and now he is not answering his phone call, messages or emails. ******* ******** basically ran with our hard earned $5,900.00 and will not call, answer or communicate with me or my wife. I have kept all the text along the process.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2021/11/30) */ Unfortunately with this customer we were held hostage by the manufacturer of a vinyl fence order. Ultimately we're not sure what happened if the order was originally given to another customer but the manufacturer continue to tell us that they would ship the order and they did not. The deposit of the customer made when paid in full to the manufacturer for the materials on the project. Ultimately we got a refund from the manufacturer after months of negotiating and that order was given to another manufacturer for the fence. The fence was due to be on hold for 3 months but my customer Mr ****** was hoping to get it sooner. I leveraged a larger order with this manufacturer to find me a fence somewhere that we could get to missed a ****** earlier than 3 months. The manufacturer pulled some strings and was able to find us offense that was going to go to another customer and allocated it to us. Through some finagling the manufacturer was able to get it onto a railway car and get it shipped to Louisiana. During this time mr.******* decided he did not want the fence and wanted a refund. I contacted the manufacturer and ask for a refund on the fence, the manufactured denied my refund as it was already shipped on its way to us. They had no interest in giving us our money back after the product was already shipped and out of their hands. So I am now stuck with a fence I cannot sell. Mister ***** wants his $5,900 back and if I give him his $5,900 back that I am stuck with the fence that I cannot install because of the measurements. I offered to give him his money back at the manufacturer would give me the money back, and the manufacture denied giving us the money back on the deposit of the fence. I have plenty of messages were ******* ******** stated he will return our refund within 7 business day whether the vendor refund him or not because he could sale the material to someone else and it was not our fault that we never received any service from American Fencing Co. Also I have my neighbor as witnesses that the were waiting on him as well so the could connect heir fence with our to be able to close out their backyard. ******* ******** poorly developed this plan and now he is taking our hard earned money that I have no issue giving up to him so we can get the service we are paying for. Again ******* ******** have had more than 6 month to provide a service but yet he decided to take the money of a disabled veteran and run with it. I have recorded all messages from ******* ******** were he stated he will refund our money. I would like to pursue as far as we can go here and wherever it takes to get our money back. I want to take this as far as we can but he is not going to take our hard earnings and use toward his so call business.
