My car that is driven by my daughter ********************* was hit head on and this company was to fix it per my **************************** Now I've had to get motor mounts and tires that were supposed to be a correction of the wreck that was not done. This occured April 2022Customer response

Took my truck to gerber collision to have a minor scratch fixed. They notified me that the truck was done I came to pickup the truck and the work was very sloppy and incomplete with badges and pieces not even installed they kept the truck another week to redo and repair the work that was done. Now I noticed there is a drip in the paint and the paint work is very cloudy and again terribly done. They have wasted enough of my time. I am seeking a refund on the work completed so I can use it as a credit towards a reputable dealer/body shopInitial Complaint

This is sadly a unprofessional and disreputable company. I brought my vehicle in per USAA and was given an appraisal on a repair which the provided and set an appt for 5 weeks later. 5 weeks later I bring my vehicle in, and on they told me they decided they didn't want to work on Range Rover's anymore. What terrible customer service. They wasted an hour drive, twice, and 5 weeks because it was too hard to work with Range Rover. Boohoo you snowflakes. Life is hard sometimes. Or conversely, you could have been professional and let me know without wasting my time and energy. "It is too hard..." is their motto.Initial Complaint

My car was supposedly repaired at Gerber Collision, Hendersonville, TN. Allstate ***************** was my insurance company. It was around a $22,000 dollar repair. My car was not repaired correctly. It required *************** in Mt. Juliet Tn to replace my complete transmission due to Gerber not putting any fluids in my coolant system. That repair was another $11,000 dollars. Also the hood on my car was NEVER placed on my car correctly and **** told me it would eventually affect my electrical system under the hood. And the paint job was kindergarten worthy. My drivers door does not even seal correctly and sinks in further than the back door does clearly. My engine revs while sitting at red lights in hot weather and my turbo injectors do not seem to be working properly and it makes a noise if I accelerate at a faster speed/rpms are off and it never did that before. They replaced the windshield and it was never broken. I had the front windshield tinted and told the manager and he asked me how much that was and I told him around $200 dollars and he stated a higher amount and I said no 200 dollars. I have missing parts under my hood and this has been the very worst experience I have EVER HAD with any business and I have had several cars repaired in the past. The manager simply did not care and told me before the repair under NO CIRCUMSTANCES would he total my vehicle. I should have moved it somewhere else then. They had it from Mid January to end of April. My vehicle SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOTALED and now I am stuck with the loss of all of it and a car that shows $34,000 plus dollars on my collision information and the car pulls to the left toward the line of traffic, so I am left in an unsafe vehicle thats hood will not even stay shut now that no other collision center will touch. The person I talked to on Friday and he told me they could not fix it until April. Gerber and Allstate need to be investigated. Please call me with any questions. Yes I went to the business and they were of no help to me. The manager or whomever he was laughed because they had to pay ***** dollars to replace my transmission because their mechanic put no fluids in my coolant system when they replaced it. They have complete total disregard to any of my issues and no one cares it is quite apparent. Very sad that a company who gets insurance money to FIX VEHICLES GET AWAY WITH PUTTING ME IN A CLEARLY UNSAFE VEHICLE AND STILL GET ***** for fixing it and didnt. My truck got keyed and I called my Insurance company to file it and they suggested to take it Gerber Collision in Hendersonville, ** to get it fixed. I then agreed to allow Gerber to fix my truck. After a month or so I was told my truck was finished. That night before I was scheduled to pick up my truck I drove by to see how my truck was and it was far from being done. My truck was nasty as in there was dust and smears and residue from when the did the work from sanding and repainting the truck. I was not happy at all bout my truck being dirty, I called Gerber the next morning and talked to the General manager of Geber to express how dirty my truck was and it needed to be cleaned before I picked it up and he called me couple hours after it being cleaned to come pick it up. When I arrived to pick the truck up, I inspected it more closely and the inside of the truck was covered in paint dust and over spray every inch of the truck. I told them I was really upset and called *********** about the problem. Then I drove my truck back home and spent * hours detailing it. Then I found all the damage they did to my truck and called************ to help get this fixed. *********** after 4 days of trying to contact them instructed to take the truck back to get all the extra damage done by Gerber fixed. Then after another week Gerber then called me to tell me it was done and still it was not fixed and they did more damage while having my truck again. They hit something with the back of it and then denied they did the damage. The driver window is scratch and falls down in the door, the rear taillight had scratches and the driver side rear exhaust was loose, the front windshield has over spray from the clear coat on it as well as the driver side mirror, the clear coat has dull spots on it in four different spots and the buffed the passenger **** on a new paint job, I then took it to **** Collision as the General Manager there confirmed all the damage still and************ refused tBusiness response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/02/07) */ The customer brought his vehicle to us for a vandalism claim he filed through his insurance company. His insurance company determines what was loss related and what they deem to not be related. We were instructed to fix the panels that the insurance company found to be related to the claim. We did acknowledge that the truck was not clean upon the customer picking up and even offered to take care of it for the customer but he declined and said he would take care of it himself. After the customer picked up the truck the first time and brought it back to us for corrections agreed upon with his insurance company, we completed those minor repairs without moving the truck from the spot it was parked after being dropped back off by the rental car company. We did this to ensure nothing would happen to the truck making it impossible for his claim that we "backed into something". We purchased extra parts for his truck that the insurance would not cover, free of charge to the customer to try and show customer service. Before the truck was returned to the customer for the final time we had an inspection completed by his insurance company to make certain everything was addressed for the customer and it was satisfactory. We are very sorry we were not able to accommodate this customer and made several attempts to do so and remedy the issues for him. They have not told the entire story and this program **** not allow enough to type the whole story bur basically ....I took my truck to ************ collison and the general manager confirmed as well and who confirmed all damages still occurred to my truck to this day are real and still are there and not fixed and progressive is taking the side of Gerber and **** not fix my truck. I drive my truck around knowing that because they are big corporations that they WIN. and unless I pay out of my pocket, that I **** always have this damage to my truck and a bad paint job. Which to add I take to car shows promoting the companys that did all the work to the truck in extras...I have a 40,000 truck with ******Initial Complaint

Note: This business is no longer named "**** ***." This is an old name. The current name of the company is Gerber Collision & Glass at the same address. I has been referred to this company many years ago by my automobile insurance company after an accident. The work was flawless. When time came to have some work done on my car -- in order to keep it on the road a few more years -- I called **** *** to find that the new name was Gerber. They gave me a quote and the work was completed in July of this year. I paid for the bill using my ***** credit card at the time I picked up my car. Skip forward to the current month (December 2021). I received an e-mail from ***** ****** on 12/9 to inform me that they did not have a payment recorded for the work completed in July. I thought this might be a phishing e-mail and contacted the Business Office Manger at the business. I talked with a person named ******* *********** and he asked me to send him the page from my credit card company showing the charge. I didn't hear back. I heard back from ***** on 12/14 to inform me that they still could not locate a payment for the bill. After this, I contacted the Gerber Collision & Glass corporate office. They told me that ***** was the new manager of the Smyrna office and ******* was promoted to another position. The agent I spoke to on the phone asked me to forward the credit card page to her at "[email protected]." This was done as requested. I asked for an upper-level manager to contact me at my phone number. As of right now, I have not heard anything from this manager or ******* ***********. It seems like something is terribly wrong here. I am not sure if I am dealing with shoddy bookkeeping, theft, or both. This company should be investigated by someone -- anyone -- to get to the bottom of what is happening. Thank you!
