I was provided a quote in June 2020 for my Master Shower which included the following: Demo existing bath walls and pan. Remove existing glass door and re install after tile work. Reset plumbing for entering on the wall. Install cement backer and tile on the walls. Install pan or tile on the floor. Install new shower fixture and drain. Grout tile and seal. Replace plumbing in the wall. Install niche in shower. Haul away all debris. The job took approximately five months to complete. I paid $5100.00 for this work, one installment of $2500.00 on August 24, 2020 and the balance $2600.00 paid in full on November 6, 2020. Soon after the job was completed the tile had staining and some of the tile began to break away. The grout/tile was not sealed. The company has tried to resolve. I sent a text previously with no response and recently sent an email and have yet to receive a response. I have more detailed information if needed and note, I have not been able to use my shower at all.

Business Response /* (1000, 12, 2021/10/13) */ We have been back on this job trying to resolve the homeowners issues which was the color of corner tile caulk which is never the exact color of the grout the homeowner chose. ****owner wished us to wait to see if she was happy with the Tile caulk color after it dried before we seal the entire shower. I am sorry if Mrs ********** is not happy with the style and color of the tile and grout she personally picked at **** and *****. We installed a 1st class shower for a nice customer And I am sorry if she is not happy with her choices. We have offered to and need to finish caulking and seal her shower so she can start using it. She can contact *** her job supervisor to set a time completing these items. We will be happy to do this. However we have no intention of replacing her great shower due to her discontent with the style or color she chose. ****** ***** President KCC Consumer Response /* (3000, 14, 2021/10/15) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do not accept the response from the business because it is not a complete explanation. I will provide other detailed information within my allowed five day response period which is Monday. Thank you. Business Response /* (4000, 19, 2021/11/11) */ Mrs ********** I have had numerous conversations about you concerns with the supervisors and have told them to go back and seal the tile if you wish them to. Sorry your caulk is not a perfect match but it is a totally different composition from grout therefore not the perfect color match. The caulk is a much better option for the corners of the shower. Please just call and let us know when is a good time for you and we will be there to seal the shower. Happy to fo it! Thanks Business Response /* (4000, 30, 2021/12/22) */ To the better business bureau Concerning Mrs ********** tile shower. We had installed the tile in the shower that was chosen by her. We will be happy to return if she decides she would like for us to fo and apply a coat of sealer to the shower. If she prefers, instead of us sealing the shower I will reimburse her in the amount of 500 dollars so she can hire someone else to seal it. Therefore releasing Key Construction from any liability. sincerely, *****/ Key Const Sent from my iPhone Complaint Response Date bumped because: Holiday Complaint Response Date bumped because: Holiday Consumer Response /* (3000, 35, 2022/01/10) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I do not accept the proposed resolution. I continue to explain my position and I truly think I have explained everything in detail and I do not think I should have to continue to repeat yet it seems that the business continues to ignore that their lack of responsibility to do the job right in the beginning has caused more issues with the tile. I believe I have been more than patient with trying to work toward a resolution and offered to accept much less than what the entire job cost me not to mention the time and effort that I have spent with this process. It is also important to note, that I have not been able to use my shower. Again, I am asking for a refund of $3000.00 which is much less than what I originally paid. Because of the negligence of the company, I will have to hire someone to resolve the problem. Business Response /* (4000, 41, 2022/02/14) */ Mrs ********** I am sorry you feel you got a inferior job and are unhappy with the Choices of texture and or color of your tile that you personally chose. I still offer to seal the tile as I stated before or pay you $500 to have someone else seal the tile. You stated you did not want the tile sealed the last time we were on site. Your new shower does need sealing before you use it . The choice is yours but this is my FINAL offer!
