I have mailed and emailed a written notice to cancel my contract with this gym. I tried to cancel my membership in March of this year, but I was told that if I did, I would lose all my training sessions that I had already paid for, and I was told that they would not refund the money I had already spent. So, I was forced to continue my membership or lose several hundred dollars of training that was already paid. The gym is refusing to accept my letter of cancellation through US postal mail to end my contract with them. They are demanding that the only way for me to cancel is in person at the gym. Even through Tennessee state law *********. Cancellation of membership. says otherwise. Because of the lack of empathy, I am afraid that they will try to continue to charge late fees and then turn me over to collections.
