This location is horrible. Dirty and equipment stays broken. The machines stay broken for months at a time. The hand grips on the weight machihes are worn and black tape is used instead of replacing them. The gym constabtly stays untidy. Used paper and water bottles are always in varied locations in the weight area. The weight attachments are constantly thrown on the floor instead of on the stand. Clients leave them and no employees go around to tidy up. They only empty trash which is the extent of their cleaning. Never do they walk around and tidy up. The air has been broken since Friday . The ceiling fan near the smith machine is on its last leg and looks like it’s about to fall in the floor. It has been this way since March and management has been told several times but not fixed. Until it falls and kills someone; it looks like it won’t be fixed. None of the fans work on any of the cardio machines although they were suppose to new machines. They’ve never worked. In comparison to Forest Hill; this gym is just plain old, broken down and unkept always. The owner clearly does not care because no way machines and the lack of cleanliness should be a continued problem. I’ve submitted several reviews but yet nothing changes, Employees should be walking around at least once or twice an hour the entire gym picking up trash and not just emptying it. Picking up attachments and putting things back in the proper desk. Forest Hill in MD constantly cleans every hours. I guess it’s based on location and clientele because as large as the gym is; it’s the worse of all that I visited in MD, I’m a black card holder and would like my money to go to another location since mine does nothing to take care of its clients.Review from Natallia B.

I am totally dissatisfied with this branch of planet fitness. They overcharged me 75 dollars within 2 months. They couldn’t charge my credit card and they were keep taking money from my account, wheh I asked about the refund they rejected it. The name of the manager who was not helpful is Nolynn M******. He is a general manager in Coconut Creek Hillsboro Blvd. I don’t recommend to visit this gymReview from Myles S

They advertised a fitness trainer with the membership. I have been a member for 6 months and still no trainer. False advertising. Also, I'm suddenly getting more spam emails than I've EVER gotten. They're obviously selling our information. A great deal for $10 a month? I disagree. Nice facility, but worth the extra hassle and lack of services promised.Review from Jaliyah M

I had came in on 1/9/2023 and again on 9/6/2023 to cancel my gym membership. When I came in and cancelled my membership they only asked for phone number. I was unaware that I had two accounts activated with Planet Fitness until my last cancellation on September 6th because I was wondering why y’all were charging me still. I went ahead and emailed and talked to the manager at your Rainier location on 12/1 and he was very useless. He had one of the staff lie to me to and told me he was in a meeting therefore he can’t talk to me but I asked, “when is a good time to call back” and that was when I got transferred right away to him. When speaking to him, his tone was very dismissive and it seemed like he didn’t want to help me at all. I asked if there was any way to refund what has been charged because if you look at my account history, I haven’t been in for a while let alone knowing I had two accounts. He quickly said no and kept saying it’s the policy. I really want to stress about how he handled the situation because he was not customer friendly at all. I asked if there was anyone higher up that he can talk to and he said he will talk to the regional manager but never responded back to my email. All I want is my refund back from the last couple month that has been charged but everyone that I had talk to has been dodging me. *now that I had read a lot of the BBB reviews about this specific gym, I can see other people’s similar experience with mine. I went to the location and cancelled my and my husband's membership September 5, 2023. Emilee was the assistant manager who processed the cancellation. On 10/17/2023, I noticed a charge hit my account for my monthly payment. They also hit my account on 9/17/2023. I called the location and spoke to Brenda, who repeatedly told me that I never came in and that my check-in history showed that I had only been to the gym once since 11/2022. This is not the case. I have kidney stones and when I am passing one, I will go and sit in the massage chairs or massage beds. She asked my husband's name and while she was looking up my husband's name, incorrectly, I found the email receipt when I cancelled my account. I provided her the member number. When the account came up it said **** and his last name. When she asked his name, not knowing what they used I had given her his complete, legal name. When she found the account, she repeatedly said "You told me the wrong name!" When I explained to her that I had provided the entire name, she said "I'M NOT GOING TO ARGUE WITH YOU!" She said she would "courtesy cancel" my account but explained that WOULD NOT include a refund. I asked to speak to a manager. Emilee answered. I explained the same to her and told her she was at fault for all of this. She "issued" the refund, which she said she would hear back from the processing company in 3-4 business days, and then, she would process the refund which would take 7-14 business days. I was told by the bank, that when an account is canceled, that revokes the company's permission to draft your account. And, because it was done at the error of the company, they MUST refund that quickly as it was an UA charge. I spoke with Ian, the store manager, and it is clear why his employees behave this way. Ian was just as rude over talking me but chastising me when I did it to him. I have filed a fraudulent charge complaint with the bank. They are investigating. *** ****** *********Review from Aaron R

The comments made by many on here are similar experiences that I have had. It is particularly difficult to cancel. Now I get why they want you bank information to join. They can keep collecting money even after you cancel your account. In my case, I cancelled my account in person as required. I asked directly if it was cancelled and it was confirmed cancelled. A month and a half later, I get a bill. I call only to hear that I have to come in person. I explained that I did that already. They insist that I have to come in again. When I press for the reason why, I was told I had two accounts. This was an impressively sneaky move to again collect more money since by some magic I suddenly had two accounts. I have never had two accounts or paid for two account (I asked these questions of the PF Rep and was told they don't charge for second accounts). Looks like I will have to make another in person attempt to cancel my account. I guess the next step is to switch banks if that what it takes to stop the continued pilfering of dues by Plant Fitness.Review from Heather R

I recently found out that Planet Fitness doesn't care about the customer it's all about money$$$ for them. They will allow you to start a membership online. But, they won't allow you to cancel it online. You have to visit a location or write a letter, which is very inconvenient. They will allow you to put in your credit card information and electronically sign to start. But, say they need your hard signature to cancel. How does that make any sense? It doesn't make sense; it just shows it's about keeping the ACH payments coming out. I will no longer do business with Planet Fitness because of this!! Bad customer service/practice!Review from Ch I

Very rude and hostile towards me, a black card member, when I would use solely use bathroom facilities. I do not disturb anyone nor am I drawing attention to myself in any way or form, but due to the lack of maturity of the "teenagers" , I am assuming based on their attitudes, they would stop and harass me and be very discriminatory towards me.
