In June of 2024, I ordered a new shed to be delivered to my home within 3 weeks. Almost 2 months later, I finally got the call the shed was being delivered late in the evening after harassing calls from the driver for a few days. They delivered me a damaged shed, admitted by driver ********* he said his name was. Came with wife. He said he hit low hanging branches on the way here. I could not see the damage, since high on trailer and due to almost dusk. It was a nightmare and had been for the following weeks. Shed leaked, was not put in the right place, his mule broke down leaving the shed in front of the home. I told him no pay until delivery and fix. He got angry and said you can run but cannot hide. I talked with ***** at Hickory, ****, at Hickory, ******* at Hickory and they sent out more people to fix the shed. The first repair guy refused to replace the wet stained plywood inside since it had leaked. There was busted up, bent up vent, the whole top front was messed up. I was harassed on phone, had the driver come out 2 nights after this at 2am, filed police report, they said deal with the company, so I told ***** you best get that creep off my yard. That is tresspassing. they sent the repair guy out again, he made the shed roof look worse, purposely Another repair guy to fix that, some damage on side, some scraped painting, but nothing on under the rafter to fix where the original damage occurred. I contacted BBB many times to settle this. Nothing, until today, I get another call from this ***** ****, ************ saying that the shed is their property since remaining balance on it. I have tried to settle with corporate. No one responding. It is over and they need to stop harassing me. Shed is still damaged and it almost cost me $1500 fine for the heavy hydraulic oil left on my driveway when the drivers not only mule broke down, but his trailer. I have had enoughBusiness Response

Dear **************************** Repairs team has tried to reach you repeatedly in order to schedule a final repair visit. Our calls and voice-mail messages have not been returned. You have said that you will not complete payment until the shed is fixedbut you refuse to allow us to make repairs.
Because you have refused to allow those repairs, youre not leaving us any choice but to begin the repossession process, at which point you will lose your deposit. Please understand that until the shed is fully paid forthe building is still the legal property of Old Hickory Buildings & Sheds.
This is our last attempt to make the situation right. Please reply to our Warranty Repairs team by no later than Wednesday, February 26th, 2025 to schedule your repairs. Should you fail to allow those repairs, we will schedule repossession.

I am rejecting this response because:first off, after 6 months of not hearing from ***** ***** or anyone from Old Hickory Sheds, Buildings, (whatever name they are choosing), since Middle August 2024, after the company refused to ***air after 6 visits total, I got a phone call Jan 10th from a **** **** in Walla Walla saying I owed a balance and not even about a shed. Had no clue, called back, left message and no contact til Feb 10th.. i had enough. I attempted 3 times with BBB complaints, all no response given from the office I ordered shed from, the ****** area ofrice, the finance office all within few few weeks to well over a month following this horrible ordeal.. filed again. No response. Filed again, no response. ? and now she gives me a dew days to demand attention. How ironic...my time is very busy as well as hers may be if this is how they treat customers...
I got a message, voicemail from her only recent..2/19/24. She gave me an amail that is NOT even a good one to show her damage needing ***aired. Sent all today but email no good. She has NO intentions of ***airing, nor discounting what I was promised. I forwarded info to ****, and ******* in hopes they would forward what did not get done. Western area mgr and area mgr... will they ignore this as well? I sent copies to **, and they do not ignore nor tolerate that. Why they delivered a damaged shed and expected full payment when ******* said substantial discount along with **** said No charge and the shady ***airs leaving wet wood not ***laced when damage done by water after it leaked, when final payment was when shdd looked NEW as I ordered. I didnt damage it. Not one scratch from me since outside or inside.. she want to thieve my personal property in MY shed, I finally accepted this mess and used it for the purpose in Dec 2034 that was meant for eatly Juky 2024. Not sure she want to threaten that.. Clearly she in such a hurry to take it back without negotiations. I have consulted a lawyer and p***sred to take necessary actions.
I have not even talked about the harassment, threats, police filing, neglect, ignoring and wow, she thinks she speaks and sabotages more and threatens what she says I owe Is even WRONG.
I have tried several times trying to reach her via email and all returned as Mailer-Daemon. She never returned nor answered my calls to her office last few days Even.... I will show you proof on her email no good.
On 2/12/24, I filed complaint with attorney general (since now all I get is threats and trespassing private road). # ******. ATTORNEY general of WA state which is my residence can usually be fair and ***utable....
I expedited the letter since they are busy and that is the docket number.
She needs to hold on her demanding way a bit longer and let them resolve this...that is the legal and right way to handle disputes. Or the way we do this in ** state, not sure about TN or KY. Usually BBB does not cross state lines so why isnt **** ****, western stste area *** dealing with this. .
Where was she 6 months ago? Where was she when ***air man refused to ***lace plywood and left me with a fraudulent ***air. The company even said OMG, got to be kidding me. Not my fault ******* ***** said they could not hire descent workers. Maybe that has changed by now.. or maybe ICE scared them even last year. Not my first rodeo with remodeling or upgrading or shady businesses. But surely did not expect it from hickory farms. I keep getting responses from my few reviews. Wonder what a reel would do? The shed was delivered damaged and thrown inyo warranty ***air right away. I said NO to delivery and was threatened and strong armed by their first ****** who left me a $900 bill to clean.. He said he hit low hanging branches on the way here. When was it really damaged?? I noyiced right away, he almost camr at dusk? Gee. Wonder why. After 3 weeks of jerking me around to stay home, coming out to his game playing for 3 weeks which turned me life upside down to NOT show up, call, nothing. Then shed delayed due to paint of roof was wrong prior day and hope I am not losing any sleep over this by first ******. *********? Was that even his real name? His wife was worried I was making a reel to post. I should have but didnt. ? ? It was not delivered and I was threatened if no cash payment, I can run but cant hide? And that was after 3 weeks of being jerked around and not the worse part yet of this experience.
Polive have been called. ***** stopped that illegal harassment, same staff from ************ who knew he best stop him and was OMG text from pics I sent after ***air guy refused to do his job. Shed looked worse. That was 3rd and 4th visit. Plywood in truck, he refused to dismantle bent up roof and do his job. I would have fired him disobeying.
other BBB numbers are included in the ** complaint that **** **** should receive by end of week. I suggest she and others research all the attempts I have made to contact them for 7 months.. All ignored..
They delivered me a shed that was prior damaged, threw it on warranty and expected me to to pay.and doubt I wpuld have had any sttention had I paid for the shed to be left in my front yard due to first ******s mule broke down. Thought he was going to smack his wife, he did throw his hat down but the hydraulic pil left all over my driveway and street. That is city property. I had to clean up or $1500 fine within 24 hrs. i offered the price of $2500, due to home depots bid was $3200 to ***air it to new. They refused to ***lace wet stained wood, refused to fix the area under the roof side, jposts are just chewed up, refused to ***lace bent up vent, did a very ameateur job of huge ding on one side, shady paint and caulking all around. I will need to test for mold come spring due to wet wood...airborne. maybe asbestos by now. Their international lock has already been changed. That alone is shady having access to all sheds.
After all this harassment, ignoring, I offered 1k. More than I owe according to *****. I do have that recording as well..
If she attempts to bust into and trespass into my yard, not going through proper channels, that is also against proper procedures of who seriously has ownership of shed at this point. Read WA stste laws of 9/10ths ownership. The dispute is will they sincerely and seriously fix it and if so, what is the huge discounts?, Knowing people like *****, she wants what I have paid for plus the shed and who knows what else. That is not legal nor abiding.
She needs to honor fixing all areas previously refused. Wet plywood is mold esp with water stains so who is she kidding. She has no facts but should after today. Shpuld have had pics way back in Aug 1st when they were sent to *******. I still have those pics and dates. Cant altar them...

Are they? Maybe I should read more reviews and see what the pattern is.. I can always tap into my umbtella they damage 1 inch of my property. Worth up to $1m. Old Hickory Buildings & Sheds has tried to work with Ms. ******* to address her warranty repair claims, but has received no cooperation from the customer.
We have sent multiple repair crews to correct the issues, but Ms ******* has been verbally abusive to our repair technicians and to our inside customer service staff. We have offered repeatedly to schedule a final repair visit, but Ms ******* continues to roadblock those efforts. At this time, Ms ******* has only paid the deposit for her building and still owes a significant balance.
Because Ms ******* has implied taking legal action, our communication with her through the Better Business Bureau and other means will now cease and we'll be forced to pursue a legal resolution.
Old Hickory Buildings & Sheds has an outstanding track record with decades of sales to very happy customers...and we take poor reviews and complaints very seriously. We do our best to find a positive resolution when our customers aren't happy...but regretfully, not all customers can be satisfied.

Feb 26th has already passed, yet you still seem to state you called many times to finish repairing. When did you call in the last 7 months to finish repairing?? I got a voice mail from you Feb 21st, saying I owed a small amount, then proceeded on the 24th of Feb to take my funds I have already paid on this shed. You have no intentions of fixing the shed. If you had intentions, you would have fixed in back in end of July, early August when I submitted the complaints with your ************************************************* and even calling you how many times??
Your repair people came out 5 times and did not finish the repairs. Refused to replace the wet stained plywood on the inside. I have sent pics of what is needed. Stop playing the game and Attorney General was filed 2/21/25 after your continuous harassment of payment. Who delivers a very damaged shed and refuses to fix it, waits 7 months and now all of a sudden, you want access to take it, not repair and now threaten to even keep what funds I put down. Shame on you.

you do not have an outstanding record with BBB in your state and not in majority of states country wide. You CANNOT delete my review, that is illegal if you are unaware. That is public information, and a crew was never sent. Multiple visits?? Try sending a repair crew and not illegals having a bad feeling about me before the work even starts. I sent you pics, many emails, to ****** Briian, ****** ******* yes, your boss, *****, yes the East Coast Boss, *****, the one who sold me the shed. Ask yourself, who delivered a damaged shed and throws it straight to warranty, when your workers refused to replace the wet stained wood, left my roof line shady, did not even touch under the rafts which are all chewed up, bent vent, not painted in spots, underneath is mixing main rafters and it is not even in the right spot. oh yah, talked with **** too. All of your workers here failed the job and not my fault ******* ***** said he could not find good workers. Not my fault at all. I ordered a new shed and got a leaky damaged full side and repairs are not done. Plus am pretty sure there is mold in there from the wet state boards on the ceiling. You have done nothing to repair them. Where were you since August 2024??? No return calls, no getting a hold of me and now you demand to thieve my $$, saying it is your property and want to send out workers. I have not had an offer to send out workers, other than your demand to take my $$ and take the shed. Well, good luck to that, since you keep ignoring attorney general who this file is in the hands off.
Let me remind you, trespassing is a serious crime. Taking something or vandalism is exhibit A when no trespassing is posted everywhere on my property. This shed is in dispute, and until you people do the right thing, I was forced to send it to ATtorney General where am sure by now, you have the letters. Beside, you are not even affiliated with BBB and I will keep filing reviews if you remove mine. That is not okay to do. My first amendments right is to notify the public of deceit. We purchased a shed in 2021, and recently our county department has requested structural calculations for the specific shed we bought, which includes a garage door. We have reached out multiple times via phone calls and emails requesting the necessary information. Unfortunately, we have not received the required documents.We were sent a 12x20 LB PDF (******), but this is not the correct one for our specific model. We have complied with the business's requests, and purchasing the plans and layout through three separate transactions, yet we have still not received the correct plans and layout. We're sorry to learn you've had difficulty obtaining the drawings and engineering calculations needed for your permit. We escalated and investigated this issue internally and with the Territory Manager and learned that the independent dealer you purchased from misinformed you about the process and fees for obtaining custom drawings. The custom drawing supplied to you by the dealer was not from our staff engineer and had mistakes...which is why our engineer refused to apply his stamp on them. The dealer should have informed you that we supply generic engineering drawings FREE of charge, but that custom drawings with calculations for your exact building can be purchased at an extra cost.
However, since you were misinformed by the dealer, we've made the decision to create your custom engineering drawing and supply it to you at no extra charge. Our staff engineer is working on this today and should have the drawings complete and sent to you by the end of business today.
We hope this resolves the issue for you and that the rest of the permitting process goes smoothly. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We plan to follow up with the local dealer to ensure they understand and adhere to the correct process going forward.

01-08-2025 I purchased a 10x12 shed. From a old hickory shed dealer in *********** ******. On 01-10-2025 I was told that dealer had lost the money. I have given them. And I wouldn't receive my shed .until money was found. Even though I had a legal binding bill of sale receipt. Called customer service 01-21-2025 made complaint. They called me back 01-22-2025, and told me upper management would be going after there dealer for money. And I would be getting my shed. And that regional manager would call me back within in 24 hours. On 01-24-2025 I had not received call back .so I called customer service. They said they would relay message to regional manager. Regional manager then called me back 01-24-2025 saying that l would not get my shed until his shed dealer in *********** ****** returned the lost money. I'm not getting anywhere with this company. Dear Mr. ******************* very sorry that youve been caught in the middle of this and that communication on this issue has been poor and not up to our usual standards. The decision has been made by the owners to deliver your shed asap. You should expect contact from the assigned delivery driver to make arrangements for the delivery.
Although this is a VERY rare occurrence, the loss or theft of a customers money by one of our independent dealers has happened before. In such a case, we ask the customer to file a police report because law enforcement will then treat it as a criminal matter and will investigate. The intention was not to put the sole responsibility for follow-up on youbut rather to ask your help in the pursuit of justice. It appears that our policy was not properly explained to you and for that we apologize and hope this explanation helps your understanding of what we were trying to accomplish.

On 09/12/2024, I paid ****** deposit for my shed and it was supoowe to.come with free delivery to a property that I just purchased that year. I was assured that my lot was within the distance and free delivery was included. I ran into.two issues when traveling ***** property. My car brok down twice the first time left me strqnded in ******** and the secimd one left me stranded in ********** for 3 days. I informed them I was 3 hours away but I was stuck in ********** and I suggested that we reschedule and wqit till i can be there. The distlpatcher said that they wanted to try to deliver it hy 1 that day. I told them again im not there, she then suggested they could try to do it without me there. I asked if she was sure and she said yes. I then gave them the cordinates that my ****** company gave me which lead me to my property. The driver said he would call me if anything changes. He doeent call me back I had to call them back only to find out that they couldnt deliver it and now wanted in order to.get my shed since i wasnt there i needed to pay a redelivery fee of 850. I informed them that I just had two vehicles break down and was stranded, it was suppose to be a free delivery and ai dont have 850 on the fly because they chose not to reschedule for a time i was there. That was begining of december. Here we are in Jansuary of *************************************************************************************** anything and when I suggested that if they cant deliver my shed then i need a refund of the ****** I already paid ehich included free delivery they started not picking up and mot calling me back and sqid i might not recieve a refund. Dear *** *******,
We've investigated your case and discussed what happened with the driver. From what we understand, it sounds like there were a number of communication gaps resulting in a difference in understanding between yourself and the delivery driver and his team.
Our delivery drivers are independent contractors and need to be paid for their time...even for a failed delivery attempt, which is why they wanted to charge for a 2nd delivery attempt to a new location. That said...we're going to intervene and pay the driver for the first attempt...so the delivery to the new location will be free as long as it's still within the 30 mile limit.
We hope this resolution solves the issues. You should hear from your driver soon, but please don't hesitate to reach out to them directly to schedule the delivery.

We purchased two sheds from Old Hickory Sheds/****** Sheds in ************, **********, on 9-14-24. ***** *****, the sales person, drew up the contract. The incorrect sales tax of 8.9% was charged instead of the correct sales tax of 8.6%. We are county residents and not city residents, hence the difference. ***** told us that he had been doing this for years and that the 'program' wouldn't allow for a change. He encouraged us to take it up with 'corporate' because he was 'powerless' to change the tax rate.We completed the purchase. The sheds are fine and have been delivered.However, the corporate office has refused to reimburse the tax overcharge for the second shed. We have called the office in ********* four times over the past two months and spoken to the same person. Her name is Dom. Each time she has told us we will be reimbursed. The reimbursement for the first purchase did finally come through, but the second one has not. She promised it would show up on our credit card 11-15-24. Guess what? It's a no show and the date is 11-25-24. We are owed $63.12 of tax overcharges by this company. I'm not sure if this if fraud or not. But you have to wonder where all the years and years of tax overcharge money has wandered off to.I have given my review online. It's not a good one. Dear Mr. ***************** apologize for any inconvenience or confusion on this topic. After escalating to our VP of Inside Sales
First...we charge the tax rate of the dealer location because we cannot always be aware of every municipal tax rate across the country. But if a customer says that we are charging them the wrong tax rate, we fix it on the order and will issue a refund if there's a discrepancy in favor of the customer.
In this case, we fixed it on your first order #*******, which was reprocessed as order #******* after the adjustment. We refunded you the difference of $11.14...although the refund was processed later than it should have been and we apologize for that. Unfortunately, it didnt get sent to accounting in a timely manner, so it wasn't caught until you called in to inquire about it. Again, we apologize for the delay.
For your second order #******* (revised as order #*******), you paid COD to the driver via an ACH payment in the amount of $18,329.13. However, the revised order had already been fixed to account for the lower tax rate, so our accounting team only ran the payment amount of $18,266.01. The difference between the two amounts is $63.12. In reality, you were never charged the incorrect tax rate. The amount you ultimately paid via ACH was correct. We recommend you verify this actual debit amount with your banking institution. We're sure you'll find that the amount charged was $18,266.01...the correct payment amount given your proper tax rate.
We definitely fell short on communicating all of this and explaining it to you and we apologize for the confusion and any inconvenience caused. We hope this resolves the matter and that you enjoy BOTH of your new buildings.Sincerely,

What are you talking about? Are you saying that you debited less money ($63.12) from the written amount on the check (COD) payment? Is this correct? Clarify and confirm.
We never received an amended or corrected purchase agreement. We were simply told by *** to pay the full balance amount on the original purchase agreement and expect a credit card refund just like on the first shed purchase. This never occurred, despite additional phone calls and emails. We have never received any information from you regarding your ACH actions.
I called you multiple times. You NEVER even took the time to write us or call us to tell us what you were doing.
I have contacted the BBB, the Clallam County Tax Assessor, the Clallam County Treasurer, and initiated a complaint against you requesting a refund through *************** VISA.
We made a major purchase from your company. It was a purchase made in good faith. But you did not treat us respectfully and did not provide any communication regarding your actions.
You build a good shed. Your customer service gets one star. That review is on-line already.
We'll check our bank statement to confirm your actions.

My shed was delivered damaged because the other shed on the trailers roof flew off and impacted my shed. The dealer and driver said it would be repaired in a couple weeks, that was 2 months ago. Dear Mr. ********************************** & Sheds has a specific warranty claims process that we use to make sure repair issues are followed up on. The dealer and the driver are not part of our warranty repairs team or process and do not handle submitting claims for customers who have had an issue. We apologize if either the driver or dealer led you to believe that they would handle the claim for you as they are not supposed to do that.
If you haven't already, please file a warranty claims here: ******************************************************************;Be sure to include photos of the damage, so that our warranty team can provide instructions to the repair team.
We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. Can you please provide the dates you've called our home office to discuss this? Did you speak with anyone? It's unusual for our customer service team to not return calls...and they should have provided the direction and link for filing a warranty claim.
Once. you get the claim filed...we should be able to schedule repairs and get this resolved for you.

I am rejecting this response because I am being requested to fill out a form and wait for a response. All of the information on that form in this BBB complaint, why not just contact me to setup a repair??????1. This isn't a warranty issue. The product was delivered damaged. Both the driver and Retailer are authorized representatives of Old Hickory. Both have failed to resolve this issue in a timely manner.
2. I will fill out the warranty form, and wait.
3. I left messages on Old Hickory's main line 11/16 and 11/9. No response.
4. Please leave this complain open until the repair is completed or rejected.

Dear Mr. ************** looked into this and found your warranty claim from 11/26. It has already been assigned to the shop to make the repairs, but we learned today that the shop hadn't followed up with you to schedule the repairs. We also learned that the driver had intended to file the repair order after delivery, but it wasn't done.
This has been escalated internally and our Warranty Repairs Manager has spoken with both the driver and the shop about the lack of follow-through. We're told the shop attempted to reach out to you today and left a voice mail. If you can please call the shop back and speak with ****** ******, he'll schedule your repair as soon as it is convenient for you. Hopefully that is sooner than later.
We hope the repairs are done quickly and we apologize for the lapse in communication and delays In getting this resolved.

On 8/14/2024 I had a shed delivered by Old Hickory Buildings (ordered via Custom Sheds Unlimited, *********************************** *****). It was paid in full back in June and the only additional costs I was made aware of were if the installer used their own cinder blocks to level the building, which they did not.The driver they use is ******'s Trucking LLC.I have video of the driver doing an amazing job backing into my driveway. This video also shows an intact retaining wall.Upon leaving the driver was not as careful and drove over the end of the wall causing it to crack, crumble and break for almost 3ft. I included pictures of that as well.I contacted the distributor, *****, and have included our conversation. She suggested that they didn't have to do anything and it was just part of doing business.The damage to the wall could have been avoided and if the driver did not feel comfortable placing the product where I asked we had a secondary spot picked out.Businesses should not be allowed to damage property and shrug it off.Customer Answer

Our drivers are licensed and insured independent contractors who are responsible for working out issues like this directly with the customer. It sounds like you made a good faith attempt to contact the driver to discuss the damage and didn't get a very positive response from the person who answered the call. We asked our Territory Manager to intervene and make sure the driver takes care of the issue. It's our understanding that ****** (the driver) has already been in contact with you and you've agreed on a reimbursement amount for the damage done to the retaining wall.

On August 2, 2024 I had a shed delivered by Old Hickory. The delivery driver had issues with the delivery as my gate was only 8 foot wide instead of 8ft3in. So the driver suggested backing his truck into my yard with the warning that the edge of my landscape beds would be run over. Perhaps even a couple of plants may be harmed. Well this did not turn out well. My entire side yard grass and the landscape beds were destroyed. He moved the trailer back and forth and continued to demolish my yard. He could not get the shed through my fence so he then needed to take up a fence post and part of my fence to finally get the shed through. I am extremely dissatisfied with the destruction of my property and this is not acceptable. He apologized for destroying my yard but said at least my shed looks nice. Not a way to resolve the situation.After he left I contacted my sales *** who said he could not do anything about it and told me to call corporate. I called corporate office on 8/2/24 and spoke with someone who would forward to a manager. They did not call me. I then called twice on 8/5/24 and left two messages, later that evening a *** called me and said they sent emails to the territory manager and they would contact me no later than 8/7/24. I still have not had any contact regarding this. I have gotten two estimates to ***air my property, one is for 1400 and the other is for 1200. We're sorry to learn of your disappointment in the damage done to your side yard during the delivery of your building. We checked with the delivery driver and he confirmed that the gate was too small for the width of the building you purchased and the delivery truck. He also confirmed that you gave permission for him access the delivery spot with the understanding there would be some damage in the process.
As stated in the sales agreement you signed on July 10th..."Customer represents that the delivery location will be accessible by a truck and trailer. It is the Customer's responsibility to decide if ground conditions are unsuitable or too wet for delivery." You also signed a "Delivery Satisfaction Sign Off Sheet" after the driver completed the delivery...checking all the boxes that you were satisfied with the delivery.
Our drivers have no prior knowledge of where the shed will be placed, how accessible the location will be...or whether the ground they'll need to drive over to place the shed will be soft and prone to damage during the process of maneuvering the shed into the position requested by the customer. It's up to the customer to make those determinations and it would have been your choice to wait for dryer conditions or make arrangements to provide an alternative access route or different location for your shed if you wanted to avoid the delivery truck driving on your lawn. You also could have stopped the driver at any point in the process since you were present during the delivery. None of this is the responsibility of the driver to decide at the time of delivery.
While we wish the situation were different and the damage would have been avoided...none of this is the responsibility of Old Hickory Buildings & Sheds, our dealers, or our independently contracted drivers. We hope you'll be able to repair the yard and can enjoy use of your new storage building.

I am rejecting this response because: This is not acceptable way to run a business. This is destruction of property. The driver only stated that the edges off landscape beds might be damaged. He totally destroyed my entire side yard causing up to 1400 dollars of damage. He created 8-12 inch ruts in my yard running entire length of property. I signed paperwork stating that I received the shed in appropriate location not that I was ok with destruction of my property. Regarding the contract regarding appropriate gate size I told salesman the size of my gate and he said the shed would fit. Once the driver was here he said it would not and provided alternate solutions. In no terms was the condition of ground mentioned or that it would be a problem to get the shed to backyard. Only once the yard was destroyed was alternate suggestion made as to what the salesperson could have offered in order to provide appropriate services. There was never a mention that the 12x8 shed would not fit through an 8 ft wide fence mentioned by the salesman. Therefore I would consider that false information and not appropriate information given regarding the sale and delivery of shed as well as misinformation. I have no idea where a business is ok with destroying someones property and not taking responsibility for it. Where is the accountability. How in the world can you stop the damage once it started and was already done. I took the driver as having experience and followed his suggestions. He could have refused to deliver due to conditions and not put the blame on me. I thought he knew what he was doing and was competent. Clearly this was not the case and proceeded to be okay with destroying my yard with no accountability leaving it to blaming the customer. I was not driving the truck through my yard he was. This company needs to take responsibility. I would like them to pay for damaging my yard.

I have overpaid what was on my signed contract. I have attempted to speak with someone at the company and have been told numerous times I cannot speak to the accountant department to resolve this. I was also told even if I over paid by 2 dollars they would not send a refund. I have been told this amount is what the contract says which it does not. I will try this option prior to seeking legal counsel. Old Hickory Buildings & Sheds is the manufacturer of the buildings and we handle the cash sales, but all Rent to Own agreements are handled by one of many 3rd party rental companies around the country. The name of the rental company you entered into a contract with should be noted on your lease agreement along with their contact information.
Old Hickory Buildings & Sheds is not a legal party to your rental contract and therefore we cannot intervene. We recommend making contact directly with the rental company noted on your contract in hopes of resolving this issue.

We contacted Hometown Buildings Plus following an advertisement on ******** Marketplace that seemed like a fair price for a storage building. Old Hickory Buildings sells their buildings at Hometown Buildings Plus which is located at ************************************************. On July 22, 2024, we traveled to their sales lot which had apx. ***** premade storage buildings which were available for purchase/rent to own. After viewing the units we wanted to see, we purchased a 10x20 side lofted playhouse for the sales price of $5080.00. Within minutes of the purchase being complete we received an email confirmation of the agreed terms which were jointly agreed upon by all involved parties. On July 24, 2024 we once again received an email confirming our purchase with the agreed upon terms. Hours later, we received a phone call from the sales person at Hometown Buildings Plus stating they had priced the storage unit to us incorrectly and requested $900.00 if we wished to go through with the purchase despite having a signed contract that Hometown Buildings Plus issued and we agreed to. After a few discussions with the sales staff, we contacted ************************* at Old Hickory Buildings, LLC. who informed us that they did not have to abide by the signed contract and that the decision had been made to cancel our order because we would not pay the increased price two days after the sale was complete. We are waiting for the refund of our deposit amount. This issue has put us 3-4 days behind schedule of our contractor beginning repairs on our home following a major loss during the May 2024 tornado outbreak in our area. We simply wish to warn customers from doing business with this group of individuals.Business Response

We researched your issue and found that the dealer who sold you the building had made a significant mistake in the pricing of the building when creating the order. Our dealers are commissioned (but independent) sales agents, but they do not own the inventory and do not have the authority to change pricing except within the promotional discount parameters that we provide to them. In the case of your building sale, the dealer went beyond those parameters without the approval of our home office...which is why the order was put on hold and why the dealer reached out to you to report the discrepancy and ask whether you wanted to follow through with the purchase of the building for the corrected price.
it also sounds like the Territory Manager may not have exlained the issue fully, which led to further frustration on your part..which we completely understand. Because our dealers are independent sales agents and have limited permission to adjust pricing, all of our sales contracts are not final until they've been reviewed and approved by our inside sales team. It is this review process that cause the error and resulted in your order being placed on hold pending further conversation between you and the dealer. Unfortunately, the home office did not receive word of the cancellation until today...but our Accounting team is putting a rush on your refund given the inconvenience this has caused you.
