The worst insurance company ever doesn't want to pay for their clients damaging other people's cars. They just want your money and don't want to pay out. Be careful with them; they just might leave you paying out of pocket while you've been paying them monthly to cover you. Didn't want to leave the one star, but didn't have another choice.The General Insurance

Would be nice not to have to climb into my car over the passenger seat is the other insurance company going to pay out or am I just out of luck and have to pay myself because I don't have time to chase down the money right now that's what I pay y'all for I'm having surgery in a few days so hopefully when I recover from that then i can worry about my car because I guess I am on my own I'll be contacting your supervisor you shouldn't be an agent I realize this isn't a serious job for you but I'll make sure you can't get another job as an agent I will handle this with supervisors managers and my lawyers I payed over 3k for insurance through y'all and I have gotten the run around every time I contact y'all I had to contact a supervisor just to be able to get a hold of my agent buyer beware don't ever go through this company unless you have no other choice if that's the case I would recommend getting a free quote and then put that money under your mattress I figure a review might hopefully be seen by someone that is in charge at that company and force them off their *** before they loose that cushy job and can maybe get this settled and hopefully get it done soon because I really don't want to deal with a lawsuit on top of my surgery I can't believe this company is allowed to operate they need to have a class action lawsuit against them they are a scam and they won’t help I will be contacting legal representationThe General Insurance

I was reluctant to come back to the general because I had an issue in the beginning which should have taught me my lesson. I am now in a bad faith situation as well as negligence. My claim has now gone two weeks without my rep doing her job. She's trying to say that she doesn't have direct communication when she's been texting me on my telephone number and my email is on my policy as well. DO NOT GET THEIR SERVICE!!! RUN!!! Trash insurance. Their client rear ended me and they are not paying for my repairs. They are having the body shop jump through ridiculous hoops and still refusing about $1000 worth of the cost of repairs. Absolute pain and unprofessional. The General never advised the shop we would not allow for any of their requested supplement items, but did request additional documentation and proofs to support their supplement. I was in a hit and run accident on 9/12/24, less than $3000 to pay my car off. Non driver hit me no insurance. I filed a police report. I went on vacation for a month out of the country came back. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING ALL THIS TIME, got internal repairs the car is a ***** Trex 2016. I got a new windshield less than a month ago. The car is drivable and fixable to me. I dropped my car off at ******* ********* ** **** ***** ** ********* ** ***** *****. RECOMMENDED by the general on 2/26/25 for an estimate, by 3/5/25 I got a call while I was at work that my car was totaled and I need to come clean out the vehicle and file my total loss claim to get a check for a new car and to pay the lienholder. They estimated the whole car to be fixed $5000 not just the front bumper where the car was hit. I was furious I went and got my car back and never signed for the final decision. Now the General is not trying to let me get a second estimate and salvage the title of my car and total it to resale it to someone else. This is insurance fraud.The General Insurance

Please whatever you do…do NOT get insurance with this company. I have been out of a car for almost a month. The car was supposed to be picked up and is STILL on the tow yard. I am paying out of pocket for my rental. They don’t try to do anything to help you. They just keep giving you the same nonchalant response. I have never seen anything like this. But you get what you pay for….. will be taking my business elsewhere and have told everyone I come in contact not to get insurance with The General.The General Insurance

Terrible Experience-Refusing to Pay for Legitimate Claim I had an awful experience with The General Insurance 2636 Elm Hill Pike Suite 510 Nashville, TN 37230 I was involved in an accident where their insured driver was at fault, yet they are doing everything possible to avoid paying my claim. Instead of providing the coverage they promise, they've delayed the process, ignored evidence, and given me the runaround. Their customer service is unhelpful, and every time I call, I get a different answer. It feels like they care more about avoiding payouts than actually helping people. If you're looking for a reliable insurance company, I'd strongly recommend going elsewhere-this company does NOT stand by its policyholders or those affected by their negligence.The General Insurance
