They don't even deserve 1 star. I went in to get my breaks looked at as my low brake fluid light came on. They talked me into a full diagnostic assessment for $120. They told me my car would be ready in a couple hours, I called back around that time and they said it would be another few hours. Finally I ended up coming as they were closing. They told me they just needed to top of my break fluid as my breaks were in perfect condition. A few weeks later I heard weird sounds while driving. I took my car to *** ******* and they said I was full metal on metal on all my breaks. This place should be shut down.Review from Tarah P

I was sold a service I did not need for another 33,000 miles. The part they sold me and installed was a spark plug that was supposed to last at least 100,000 miles, and now, less than 8,000 miles later, part of the spark plug broke off in my fourth cylinder and ruined my engine. They will not fix it. I would not be in this situation if: A) they would not have sold me a service I did not need for another 33,000 miles B) if the part they installed worked as advertised Firestone needs to stand by their employees' work, fix my engine, and contact their parts supplier to file a claim about faulty parts. Instead, they are allowing a customer who has been loyal for over 30 years to be without transportation for over three weeks now. The service that was provided by the person who worked the front desk was also unacceptable. I have worked in the service and retail industries for decades and understand that this was not the person at the front's fault. I never raised my voice, I never belittled them, I never was rude to them and they treated me worse than anyone in their industry ever has. They spoke down to me, and also said it was their "last week there so they didn't really care". That's a direct quote that was heard by my partner over the phone. They gave me a fake number to file a claim and when I asked to speak to their manager or a regional support person, they told me, "They are in meetings all day". I have had a very difficult time getting in touch with anyone and only heard back yesterday (three weeks after my initial claim) from someone in claims to tell me it would be at least another week before anyone could tell me any information. This location has also been an issue in the past, but because they were "under new management", I decided to stay loyal. They installed windshield wipers that few off the first time used. They have not rotated my tires and still tried to charge me. They have not reset sensors after oil changes. This needs to be fixed.Review from Destiny F

Absolute worst place ever after confirming with TWO people prior over the phone TWICE when we get there, they say that they can no longer do our car service until winter!!! I told them I have 3 infant children I would have to make arrangements for so leaving the car was not an option but I would just stay! then they say there’s a not stating they can not do the service AFTER I received a confirmation email stating they would!!!Review from Charles O

They have changed their ways and NO longer honor their warranty on their products claiming “road hazards”, when where else would you find a tire, other than on the road. So they are now about trying to make up “limited warranty’s” to make money via scamming ***.. Avoid Richie he’s the biggest scammer. Honesty is NO longer a value at this location.Review from Andrew B

Long P***, the service manager at this branch was very unprofessional and judgemental. My wife was in because she had a nail in her tire. Simple fix, pull off the wheel, dismount the tire, slap it on the stretcher, grind and apply adhesive then the patch and wait 15 minutes for it to dry, then you put it back together. The WHOLE PROCESS takes 30 minutes AT THE MOST. Estimated time was 2 hours, which, ok I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt that if there was a lot of labor intensive projects on the plate that day, could be understandable. BUT being that I worked there before, I know how things operate and the processes of of a mechanics shop and this guys back handed comments to my wife were ridiculous and totally uncalled for. He was giving attitude to my wife, talking smack about me saying that “if your husband used to do tires, why doesn’t he do it then?” And to my actual mechanic, who is too busy to work on simple tire jobs. The one reason why we DON’T bring our vehicles regularly to wheel works is because I DID work there AT THAT BRANCH and I DON’T trust their employees. There are some shady people that work at wheel works sometimes. Not everyone, and that’s why the good guys technicians and mechanics go work somewhere else. This guy, Long P***, is a terrible manager and should be reprimanded. Especially a manager, he should have the professionalism and courtesy of other companies around the area. Textbook defamation.Review from Paula F.

I have spent over $7,000 on car repairs at your shop in Clearwater Florida not only have I had front end work done I have bought all my tires from this outlet.. after my last purchase of two front tires I was told I needed a alignment I asked how much and was told it would be a $1,000 dollars to have it done. Now I have checked around and it seems the going rate is between $75-$100. + So how is it your company would quote me a price 100 times the rate for such a service. Especially since I just bought front tires from you...I am appalled and now question all the charges I've incured over the last 5 years. I'm seriously disappointed with your shop and deception on the cost of repairs...you've lost me as a customer..not that I think you care as long as you can over charge those that don't know..Review from Michael R

I have a problem with the fact I was told in November all I needed was some brakes on truck, when I bought four new tires, now I am being told I have so much work that needs to be done, that the general manager said they are to work on my vehicle.. what’s changed from November til now, mind you I do not drive my truck everyday so it’s not a lot of mileage on it. So now I have to tow it to ***** who said they will do the work. Help me understand when I have been doing business with your company all these years I can’t get my vehicle serviced, plus why wasn’t I told of all these issues in November when I took it to the same Firestone store? I spoke with Tim the store manager and he was very helpful, but I think to only offer me the cost of my towing, doesn’t compensate for lost time and inconvenience. Not to mention the fact that someone tried to make it seem as though I refused service when in fact I was turned away. Also a bit disappointed in Aaron who said he would get back with me on some type of compensation. I tried calling him and texting him with no response. This is very frustrating and unprofessional considering how much money I have spent with your company in the past. It’s been almost a month an Aaron the area manager has not gotten back with me, I was told corporate would contact me and haven’t heard anything. Plus my signature was forged saying I refused work and was told by the store manager that’s not serious well if someone is saying I declined work but I didn’t I was refused service that is a problem.Review from Renee D

Took my vehicle in for inspection. Was told I needed three tires. All three of those tires were just replaced at that location 13,000 miles ago and have a 40,000 mile warranty. They never offered pro-rated price due to being under warranty. I called and questioned why they did not offer me the warranty and was offered a slight discount on new tires, however, why would I want to purchase tires from them again, when theirs are clearly faulty to have worn so fast?! When I posed that question I was told it was my fault they wore that way because the tires were not regularly rotated and the vehicle might be out of alignment. However, the one original tire that is still on the car is fine. So if that was the case, that tire would be bad as well. This vehicle only has 25k total miles on it. They also advised that I need brake pads and rotors, and their quote for this was more than double what other places have quoted me since. they are charging $130 for a single rotor, which **** **** sells for $82. This is on top of their $170 hourly service rate. $96 for brake pads, which **** **** sells for $59. Their total quote was $942 for 3 tires, wiper blades, front rotors and pads. I found another mechanic that is doing all of that, without any warranty discount, for $466, and the parts are higher quality than what Firestone uses. I firmly believe they see a woman and think they can take advantage.
