I booked a haircut appointment with this business. At the time of booking (June 2, 2024), my credit card was charged a $25 deposit, which was supposedly 25% of the price. When the service was completed on June 14, 2024, I was charged another $104 and I added $26 tip to pay $130 in total with the same card. Upon realizing that the $25 deposit was not applied, I called back on the same day and requested a refund of the $25 deposit. The employee told me that it was refunded. Ten days later the refund was still not posted to my card and I called again and was assured that the refund had been issued on June 14. On July 3 I still did not receive the refund and had to call again. The receptionist insisted that the refund was issued but refused to present any evidence. Later on the salon emailed me some receipt that showed that they forfeited my $25 credit without any reason or issuing a refund to my card. I have attached the email confirmation for the $25 deposit, the receipt for the $130, and another email showing that the credit was removed. I am requesting a refund of the $25 deposit and also a written explanation for why the price charged in service day was $4 above the price shown in the confirmation email for the appointment. If there is no proper justification, I am also requesting the $4 overcharge to be refunded.
