Dec 5, 2023 Received email from Nationwide stating Nov pymt of $196.04 went through and new pymt of $987.91 is due Dec 28, 2023.Due to massive increase in bill, (we pay monthly) decided to cancel policy. Called 12/26/23 to cancel policy. Agent not in office. Called main number for Nationwide but each time was sent back to agent ***************** attempts to cancel auto policy through phone calls to various people within NW failed and we had to place a stop pymt on the funds which were automatically withdrawn by NW. We got new insurance from a different ins company and provided proof to NW who reduced the amount they wanted us to pay to $856.41. All attempts to gain an understanding of how monthly insurance pymt could go up so much from one month to the next have been met with standard and unsatisfactory explanations that NW raised everyone's rates. Have now been sent to collections by NW who says they are no longer able to help us with this though every attempt we made to get assistance during this process, we were told they couldnt help, told someone would call us back, told we should leave a message for someone else etc.. Very disappointed in Nationwide as a company and all of the people with Nationwide who said they would help and didnt.
