I have filed the same complaint with Talcott Resolution. Not sure which is correct.I received a letter dated April 16th stating that my insurance rate was increasing to $148.05 effective May 21, 2024. My husband received the same letter on the same day stating his would increase to ******. We agreed to this amount and on April 30th, 2024 both amounts were drafter from my checking account to cover the premium for May 2024. On May 30th 2024, the company tried to draft 2 payments for my policy and 2 payments for my husbands policy. Since there was not enough money to cover 2 payments for each policy, it resulted in only one transaction clearing for $296.10 for my policy and the other transaction being returned for insufficient funds. I also received a $15 fee because of this. I contacted the company on May 30th to find out why they were taking 2 payments for each policy. They explained that they draft the payments 30 days in advance but hey were not able to give me an explanation as to why duplicate payments were being drafted and said they did not see the transaction. I asked for the drafts to be stopped. On June 4th they took another payment for my husbands policy in the amount of $397.80 which was 2 payments. These payments between May 30th and June 4th were to cover the June preminum. I called again on June 10th to discuss the situation and was told they would put in a research request back on May 17th f9r my account and they started a new research request on my husbands account. We then received a letter dated June 14th confirming they did take duplicate payments in May. I called on June 21st to get an update and asked if they could stop the drafts from being taken. I was assured they would be. Fast forward to June 30th where $444.15 was taken from account and today, July 3rd, $596.80 was taken. So I called again and spoke with the escalation department who said they do not see the transactions but they will put in another request and escalate it.

I am trying to cancel my policy and continue to get the run around from the company. I already sent a cancelation form request, which they claim to have not received due to a change in mailing address. My mail should have been forwarded regardless of an address change. The agent said they are 'in the process of updating their mailing address' on the forms on their website. Instead of being able to print a form and mail it, I will have to wait a standard business week to receive a form mailed from them, mail it back to them, and then another 7-20 days to process my cancelation request. The agent offered to place a hold on the next withdrawal, but this will also take another 7-20 It seems the are intentionally trying to delay the cancelation of my policy. My forms were mailed to: **************************** Per the agent, the new mailing address is: ************************

I purchased a term life insurance policy roughly 30 years ago and have never missed a single payment. On May 27, **** I received a letter that my payment due 5/23 was not received. Not wanting my policy to lapse I paid it on 5/31 electronically as I always had. The next letter I received dated 6/26/2023 stated my payment was not received and my policy was canceled. The payment had been rejected BY Talcott stating they no longer accept electronic payment. When I called to request reinstatement, I was told they could do so at roughly four times the cost AND after passing a medical exam. Thirty years of payments on a policy down the drain and now they get to decide IF I am worthy of being insured and charge a much higher price. Classic bait and switch. I would like reinstatement at my previous rate with no new medical exam OR refund for the last 4 years' premiums as that is what a new policy will cost me. I have done some research and have found many reports of others with the same experience.

I have unsuccessfully been trying to surrender a life insurance policy. Each time I provide the completed documentation PLUS additional supporting information, I am asked to provide information not previously requested. So far, I have submitted the paper work three times and they are asking for it to be submitted a fourth time.

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/06/28) */ Good morning this email is for employees of Talcott Resolution only. Please refrain from sending anything further as it will not be addressed. Thank you Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2022/06/29) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) there was no response to the complaint itself. as a continued show of their bad faith practices, they provided a one line sentence about not using a preferred email. i suspect this is nothing more than an automated response. rather than just complaining that a "wrong" email was used, why couldn't they provide another that they found acceptable? again, continued bad faith practices

In 2007, I took out a life insurance policy with Talcott **** for $****** and my monthly premium was $******. A few years ago it changed to Talcott Resolution Life Insurance Company and then my premium starting to go up. By June of 2021, it went up to $*** a month and then by September of 2021 it went up to $******. I am ** years old and live on social security and a small home business. I no longer can afford $****** a month. I began to received threatening letters from Talcott, giving me a "grace period" to pay them or they will terminate my policy. I have paid over $****** in premiums since 2007. If I had known the premiums would increase to this magnitude when I was ** years old, I would have never taken out this policy. This is outrages. Now, I have no life insurance. I would like them to reinstate my policy at the original premium of $****** a month.
