    Pattern of Complaint:

    This company has a pattern of complaints concerning service issues and billing/collection issues. Specifically, consumers report receiving excessive fines for unpaid parking. They further report there are no clear ways to pay in the parking facilities. Some consumers report difficulty getting the QR code to work to make a payment, even when they reach out to the company for assistance with it.  Consumers further advise they have paid for parking using the QR code and still receive a parking violation. Other consumers received violations for vehicles not registered to them yet when they disputed the violation by providing proof of registration, they were told that the fine was still due.

    On February 23, 2024, BBB contacted the company to request their voluntary cooperation in eliminating the pattern of complaint

    On March 1, 2024, BBB met with Metropolis Technologies regarding the pattern of complaint. This aspect of the Business Profile will be updated once additional information becomes available.

    As of May 30, 2024, the company has failed to correct the pattern of complaint.

      My daughter and nephew went to a concert at the **********. When she purchased tickets she also purchased parking for $20.00. I have attached the receipt. They both said when they got there, you just pulled into a parking space. There was no gate, no attendee, no signs posted. Same thing when they left the concert. Then today in the mail in my nephews name since he drove, we get a violation ticket for unpaid parking if $21.85 and ticket fine if $70.25. The payment is attached. Which I paid because I dont want anything negative showing up for my nephew. I emailed Payments Metroplis and asked that the $92.10 be refunded since my daughter sent me proof that she had bought parking when she got her concert tickets. This was the response which is unacceptable to me:Your request (*******) has been updated. I know this may be frustrating for you as you did not intend to receive this unpaid parking fare notice. I'm here to help you in all possible ways I can. Upon review, it looks like your parking should have been free. However, to qualify for free parking at Metropolis facilities, you need to meet specific conditions, such as obtaining the necessary validations by scanning the ** code provided by the operator. It appears you either did not get these validations or were not informed about them. Since it seems you did not follow the required procedures to qualify for free parking, I regret to inform you that we cannot approve your refund request. For your future visits, please be aware that Metropolis does not offer free parking unless you have a validation for your visit or a subscription to the specific garage.       If I could give them zero stars, I would. I was charged $20 PLUS a $1 fee, for parking at a grocery store for 56 minutes. The lot is two hours free. The company refuses to do anything about it. I sent them my receipt from the grocery store proving I was making a purchase. They still charged me and refused to refund. Beware of this company. Avoid their lots at all costs. Once you give them your phone number and card they apparently can charge whatever they want with no consequences.
