            I entered the 2022 song contest on January 25th, 2023. At that time they were still taking entries and advertising that there was still time to enter. It cost $25 to enter a song. I was instructed to provide a link to my song on a steaming platform, such as SoundCloud, as well as other general information. I made sure my link worked and submitted my entry. Theres no doubt that they can communicate with me because they send me advertisements frequently. They assured that every song would be listened to. Theres even a video that explains their selection process in which qualified people listen to each song multiple times. They recently announced the contest finalists but my song was not listened to. My insights on SoundCloud shows no activity in relation to this contest. I believe they are scamming hopeful musicians with their pay-to-enter contests.

            My email message to American Songwriter Magazine today: Hey, I had a membership fee charged to my paypal account today. When I log into my account it doesn't show that purchase, it only shows the payment from last September when the membership automatically renewed. A couple things: 1. I could swear I cancelled my membership before that auto renewal in September, so that seems strange. 2. There is no method of payment saved on my account, so I don't know how I was charged for that renewal last September or the charge that occurred today. I definitely want my money back at least for the charge that occurred today. Where did that come from? Why would I pay for another membership when according to my account, my membership is still valid until September of this year. There's some shady **** going on here. Lastly, the number of emails I would receive from american songwriter was outrageous. I had to block you because I was tired of getting multiple emails everyday wanting me to pay more money to enter some sort of contest.
