We started the agreement to do renovations at our property on November 16, 2022. The work begin. We were satisfied with every aspect of the work. At some point, the salesman who we originally worked with quit, and I am assuming that transitions happened that set the company behind. For about two weeks we did not hear from anyone. From that point, our communications begin to be with the supervisor of the work contractors. There were things that we had discussed with the salesman that we thought were included with the price that were not, so we revamped the work order/contract with the supervisor/general contractor. The following things begin to occur: I was promised a designer for the bathroom that did not happen; there was no clear schedule for the completion of the work; the crews were leaving debris in and around my home that prompted a complaint from the neighbors; I told the supervisor/that I was becoming uncomfortable with having workers in my home when we not present because of the condition that they were leaving my home in; we ask him to give us a detailed schedule instead of randomly calling the night before to say that he was sending a crew over; we expressed that we did not want to leave our door unlocked when we had no idea what time they would arrive; we told him that with a schedule, we could have someone available to open the door; next he accused us of using racial slurs toward his workers and threatened to terminate the contract. We had already offered that but we believe that his accusation of racial slurs was an attempt to somehow not be responsible for the work and/or not have to return out money. We have already paid ****** dollars. We are want him to complete the work with a schedule or return monies for incomplete task. Given our last few exchanges, we believe that a mediator will be necessary.
