After a bathroom break at one of the bars, my niece accidentally dropped her phone from the tractor. She immediately approached the entertainer in charge and requested to disembark briefly to retrieve her phone. He allowed her to get off the tractor and walk to get her phone. Although my niece managed to retrieve her phone and we could see her from the tractor, the tractor began to move away while she was attempting to rejoin us. I approached the front of the tractor and requested that it stop to allow my niece to return. Unfortunately, my plea was met with initial resistance, and I was eventually berated and yelled at by the entertainer for wanting to get my family member, as any reasonable and prudent person would do. I got off the tractor and it pulled away again. My niece and I were left in an unfamiliar and somewhat isolated part of town, near industrial businesses and a highway. I believe that this incident was in direct violation of the standard of care and safety that customers should expect from any company. The tractor departed without a second thought, leaving us in a state of distress and unease. We walked for about 15 minutes until we stumbled upon a ******** ***** where we could regain a phone signal and arrange for transportation back to our hotel through ****. It is disheartening to feel that the priority of safety, as emphasized on their website, was not upheld during the event. Rich the General Manager called me, and long story short, he defended the poor actions of his employees and company.
