3-17-22 $156.59 Confirmed a 1st floor room. Paid and signed before seeing room. Room was on 2nd floor - had to drive thru alley with no outlet other than way in. Went back - asked for confirmed 1st floor room. Would not accommodate-would not issue credit. Asked for manager. Not there. Asked for phone #. Would not give to me. We were not given confirmed 1st floor room. We waited for manager but she never returned while we were there. We had to leave - go down street- and pay for a true 1st floor room at another hotel.Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/05/25) */ Ms. Price requested a first floor room. She booked a 2 queen bed room and we gave her a ground floor entry with a second floor balcony. Our hotel is built on a hill so the 2nd floor is ground floor which is what she requested. The alley she is referring to is our parking lot. I called Ms. Price as soon as I returned to the office. She checked in at 2:44pm and I called her back at 3:43 pm as our software shows the time stamps. I offered her the option of another room and she stated that she already had accommodations; I was not given the opportunity to satisfy Ms. Price. We held the room for her and fulfilled her requests as per the phone conversation. No compensation is due. It was a second floor room not first floor as confirmed 3 times. Travel lodge should have been honest and honored first floor room at check in. Attendant would not call manager. I asked for number to call manager - attendant would not not give to me. She said they would not change my room. We waited at least 30 minutes for manager to return. She never did. We then left - went down street - got another room - 1st floor at another hotel. Manager called after we checked in to another hotel and offered another room. It was too late . Travel Lodge should have accommodated at time of arrival. All we wanted was a first floor room as confirmed. Honesty is the best policy and satisfying customers.
