  Farm bureau insurance company, pikeville tn, has been zero help during a homeowners covered issue that has caused an abundance of problems that should have been resolved by the company investigating the claim for the damages occurred from a burst water pipe overhead at our residence. Due to the damages that are allegedly not covered by our policy that has been paid up a year in advance and also not had any claims filed with them since being with them for multiple yrs. I feel like our insurance agent has been elusive and indirect about our policy and the coverage that has been paid for in advance also the agent hasn't taken any initiative to come to see the damages or the problem at hand. We have had to pay out of pocket to have the water line repaired and have a mess left behind to deal with ourselves and as elderly disabled residents, that are unable bodily to handle the debris left behind on our own, and have had no resources to finish repairs that should have been covered by our policy and been handled in a reasonable manner and timely restoration of normal functions of the household. I feel as if this company has taken advantage of our inability to physically address our problems due to severe physical illness and lack of mobility. They also have taken advantage of us by taking our money month after months, year after year without issue, until we need them and have been thrown to the wolves.

  **** ******* came to my office to speak with me about her claim being denied.  So, I looked up her policy and told her, that is correct there is no water damage coverage for this property.  I explained to her that the property in question is covered under an endorsement on her Farmowner policy which covers secondary dwellings but does not provide water damage coverage as a named peril which was explained to her by the original writing agent of this policy.  I do not inspect property after a claim that is the responsibility of the claims adjuster that is handling the loss unless they want me to inspect.  I was very professional and informative about the facts of this matter and explained this to Mrs. *******.
