We called Uss with a specific representative named Chris because we've used him in the past and everything worked really well when we used him. We had one job for a great client that we no longer work for and it was not Chris that was the rep it was someone else and the client felt like he was overcharged for the 17 Jack's that they convinced him to put on his house that did not move the house in anyway. When they sold him on it they told him it would bring the gaps back together in the block. They did not and at the end they said well in our fine print it says that we don't guarantee that the house will move at all.We are just stabilizing it. And to their benefit, that is in their fine print. Be warned this company is very shady when it comes to what they say and what they do. That customer was very disappointed, he could afford the 17 Jack's but who wants to pay for some thing when you don't have to. This man was out over $17,000 for these jacks and it did not help his property at all. That was a different job. I went back to Chris With Uss because I trusted him not to take advantage of my customers. I subcontracted Uss on this job that I'm currently on and it was a $40,000 job. Their portion was $3000. In a large job like that you have a lot of expenses along the way. Subs that need to be paid and this is one of the subs. We had a lot of expenses and a lot of labor on all of the project that we did including a shed being rebuilt, a tree, a back deck, I-beams to jack up the house, jacks underneath the house and there Jack's outside of the house on the foundation. And working with a client on such a large project, you have to wait for draws. Their draw unfortunately was over 30 days before they were paid. I had a scheduled trip out of town and they called me while I was out of town and demanded to be paid or they would place a lien on the property immediate. I explain to them I would file a lawsuit against them if they filed a lien as we discussed everything along the way and timing for all of it. They even told me specifically as long as you communicate with us and let us know what's going on you're good. There will be no issues with you paying at any later date. But as I was out of town they called to start threatening me. I did have a draw out for a payment to them on this project. Not the final draw on the job but a draw so that we could take care of this sub as well as two other subs for other work we had done. As I called to try to pay them they tried to add 3% for using a credit card. And then Said well today is your due date so if it's not paid today A lien will be filed. I explain to them again if they filed a lien on this property as I was trying to pay them then I would absolutely file a lawsuit against them. I may follow lawsuit anyway because the work that they did was subpar. There are still cracks in the foundation at the corner where they did the work and no one has followed up with me at all to check and see if I was happy with the work. I will not use Uss again for several reasons outlined above, I think they are very touch and go where they make their money and move on and don't take care of the customer. I may have to have someone else come in and do tuck pointing because there's sucked badly. Are used to think Uss was a good company, but I put them up there with some of the other guys who are very bad at what they do but great at marketing. I would stray away from this company for many of the reasons that I stated above, mainly if they tell you don't worry about payment as long as you communicate with us and let us know when the payment will be made and then threaten a lien a week and a half or two weeks later. I will be posting this on about 15 different sites to make sure that everyone can hear my voice on a review. I will keep re-posting it if I see that the reviews are deleted. Please be cautious when using someone like Uss and call a contractor that has knowledge About foundation work. I'm very familiar with it and can explain a lot of things that they try to hide in their sales pitch.
