Date of transaction is 4/4-4/7/24 It was a large full house and workshop Estate Sale. Contract stated that items were to be priced before sale and a final walk through prior to 4/4. Items were to be researched prior to sale. Contract stated 100%, 25% and 50% as the sale progressed. Vendor did not uphold the contract by the following: insufficient staff for the large amount of items to sell. Many items priced on the fly. No accountability for items sold. Vendor used the estate sale as a day care center with kids having to be cared for during this four day sell. Vendor utilized customers items rather than selling. Vendor separated all items in order to benefit the higher percentage. Vendor had no means of accounting of items sold during the sale. Particularly the very large items in the sale. Items were just given away for free. Vendor started selling 75% off all items. Vendor is not able to account for sales per day in either cash or credit cards. Then we came home to the a Vendor that sent items to liquidation for $200. We arrived home after the sale, there were thousands of dollars left in our home that she gave to a liquidator for $200. There was no security of items of great value. Items were missing that were not turned over to the sellers. It was reported by multiple buyers that items were given away free or at extremely reduced rates. We have requested to file a claim on Vendors surety bond without response. In fact, Vendor has not responded to any questions we’ve had since the sale. Vendor needs to provide a detailed itemized summary of sales. Vendor has refused. Vendor made claim of being highly informed of antiques, but failed to provide confident assessments.
