I asked George Robert Hawkins to remove a shower/tub combo in my master bathroom (on November 10, 2023 @ 2:11 pm) and replace it with a stand up shower. Mr. Hawkins completed the entire project in 2 days (December 5th-7th, 2023). Following completion of shower installation, I took my first shower and knew something was horribly wrong when I went out into my garage (located directly under master bathroom shower) and saw tons of water dripping from and saturating 1/4-1/5 of my garage ceiling (date was December 15th). I called and texted Mr. Hawkins in an absolute panic asking him to please come over immediately to fix the problem. My luck, he was out of town and said he would come by as soon as he got back. When I asked him what the issue was (December 18th), he replied with "the way the drain was made. I had to use a different type of pipe and did not realize it". He was apologetic and told me he "will let the sheet rock dry out and patch the spot on the wall and put a cover over the hole" (December 18th). It is now February 8, 2024 and Mr. Hawkins has yet to show back up to fix the hole. Text message responses from Mr. Hawkins ceased completely on January 9th, 2024. In addition, the water damage threw my circuit breaker for the garage door opener and caused it to stop working. The garage door repair man (Precision Garage Door Services) says that is some of the worst water damage he's ever seen in a garage. I was charged $50 to fix the garage door. If that wasn't bad enough, upon closer inspection of my shower, I notice that it was extremely poorly put together! Pictures taken and sent to Mr. Hawkins on December 19, 2024, clearly indicate that very little caulk was used around the base and top portion of the shower walls. So now, not only do I have substantial water damage due to an incorrect pipe, now every time I take a shower water is going to get in between the shower and walls and cause substantial MOLD. This workmanship is not acceptable and I want a refund.
