Our dog was purchased in December, 2022. We wanted an active family dog, sports prospect, and breeding prospect. He is the sweetest boy and we love him but he is a genetic lemon. He came home with an antibiotic resistant strain of giardia and it took months to clear his intermittent diarrhea. Before 4 months of age he developed panosteitis and was intermittently lame which has delayed his training significantly. He will grow out of the panosteitis. He wont grow out of the elbow dysplasia he is now in the process of being diagnosed and treated with. They verbally told me they didnt have elbow dysplasia in their dogs. Elbow dysplasia is a genetic developmental disorder. He can barely walk and he will NEVER **** or do sports work and I will soon get him neutered because breeding him is out of the question. We are fortunate to have the means and access to treat him. I dont yet know if he will be able to have any kind of normal life or if I will be able to keep him comfortable.I contacted Duckhill to inform them. Given they sell hunting dogs and I have a dog who will never **** and who will require thousands of dollars of treatment even with insurance I asked for a refund of the purchase price. They said no. I could transfer the price to another puppy or use it as a credit for training classes. I have a dog who cant work. I wouldnt take another puppy from them if they paid **** think a refund of the purchase price is a fair resolution here. It will cost us much more then that to help him.Business response

I have attached a copy of the warranty. I have offered him a replacement puppy, training credit. We do not guarantee a hunting dog, as we cannot be certain of what people do once the puppy or dog leaves the premises. Health wise both parents were screened for hip dysplasia, and PRA. The 2 most common problems in Labradors. We do not see elbow dysplasia, doesn't mean in the puppies it doesn't show up, just not something we see.

I am rejecting this response because:There are numerous reviews on the internet that claim the same issue. You cannot say that you dont see it in your lines. That is factually false. Training credit does no good as we do not live in tennessee, and another puppy is not doesnt fix the issue with ours. I think a refund is a reasonable request given what we are paying to (try to) fix the problem. There are lemon laws in Tennessee that support the refund.

I am rejecting this response because:You did not act in good faith. We were specifically told that there are not elbow problems in your dogs. Quick searches show otherwise. You lied to us period. You yourself in this specific complaint thread repeated that statement. This is fraud.
Sincerely,
