I have been dealing with Mid-South Restoration since Christmas of 2022. I had pipes freeze and burst in my attic causing the ceiling to collapse and a wall gutted. Dealing with insurance was a nightmare but Mid-South Restoration stuck with me. Once they realized they werent going to make a lot due to insurance, I feel as if they have been dragging their heels. The finally fixed the ceiling/wall in May of 2023. But tried to take short cuts. There was also a leak that we did not know was there. I got the leak repaired immediately, but since Mid-South ripped out the walls again, they are liable for that cost. They ripped my walls out again in July of 2023 and they have still not set a schedule to come fix them. There are excuses after excuses (i.e. vacation, Covid, other company is not getting back to them, etc). I have also asked for quotes for the work that still needs to be done, but that has not been provided either. I feel as if they are just trying to wait me out. I just want my walls fixed correctly. Ive been dealing with this since Christmas. A snail would win against them.Business response

******************* had a water damage in December 2022 due to busted pipes. We dealt with her insurance company on getting the home mitigated properly and put back together to pre-loss condition. We went back and forth with her insurance company because they were not giving her what she needed to put her home back to pre-loss condition. ******************* stated, "Once they realized they weren't going to make alot due to insurance, I feel as if they have been dragging their heels". This is not the case. We were not dragging our heels because we weren't going to get paid alot. The scope of work to get her home back together was not appropriate. We completed the repairs in May 2023 upon finally getting an agreed scope of work with the insurance company. After we completed the repairs, ******************* had another leak from her roof that was completely unrelated to our work. I went to check on this as she called and said that her walls were buckling and it was where we originally completed the repairs. So this would have been covered under our warranty, if it was faulty work on our part. We did complete the demo of the wall to see where the repairs went wrong. However, this was not the case. She had a roof leak that was unrelated that caused the damage to her walls. I agreed to repair the part of the wall that we demo'd out of a courtesy to her. There was more damage to another part of the wall due to this new leak that would be the responsibility of *******************. We have not been able to agree on a price for her part as she has had various questions. We are completing the repairs for her on Monday, 10/9/23. I have attached 4 photo reports to support this. One is for the water damage portion of her loss. Once is the rebuild where we completed our repairs. One is for the damaged wall and ceiling. One is where we found the source of the roof leak and demo of the wall. I look forward to hearing back from you on this matter.Customer response

They are correct in that there was a roof leak that no one knew about. I do not have a problem with the work they did in response to the insurance company. I have a problem with them completing a job that they started in July. They ripped the wall out to see where the buckling was coming from on July 17. I got the roof fixed in August by another company because MidSouth was taking too long to get something scheduled. After that was fixed, I contacted MidSouth to proceed with them fixing the wall. It is now October. There are multiple areas that were ripped out. Not just the area with the leak. They are correct in that we could not figure out a price where the roof leak was. So I am taking care of that myself. Nothing has been easy since these walls were ripped out. It takes days if not weeks to get responses and when they promise to respond, they come back with an excuse. They finally scheduled work to begin on Monday 10/9 earlier this week. However, I received a call today with ANOTHER excuse/reason as to why it cant. And this is after Ive rearranged my work schedule to be here. So we are back to the beginning again.Customer response

The repairs were started on Monday 10/9/23. Yes, we did call her to let her know that I got subpoena'd to court Monday morning and was not able to make it there first thing Monday morning. I wanted to be there when they began the repairs so I had my wife ask if she would be willing to move it to Tuesday so that I could be there when they began. She said no. So my guys were still there Monday morning to begin the repairs. The repairs were completed last week.Customer response
