We contacted **** at Captain's ******************** in April of 2022 and she informed us that they had 3 litters on the way and that we would be first in line for a female dog. After several back and forth emails, we placed a $500 deposit and were told that they would reach out to us when the litter was born. Two months went by without hearing anything so we reached out and they told us that they had their first litter but didn't have any females in it, and that we'd probably get one from the next litter. We waited 5 months and didn't hear anything from them, so we reached out again in Nov of '22 and asked for our deposit back since they weren't able to hold up their end of the bargain. **** replied and said that her and her business partner agreed that if they couldn't get us a puppy by July of '23 then they would give us a full refund. We reached back out to her on Aug 1st of '23 only to find out that her email address doesn't exist anymore, and the website has been taken offline. That was when we knew that we had been scammed and that it was extremely unlikely that we would be able to get our money back.Initial Complaint

We paid a puppy deposit with these folks while located in ******. Months later their website updated to *********. I emailed and they said they would bring the pup to us. So they went from in town, to out of state. That dissolved quickly until we decided to go get the pup in **. Got her home and at 11months the pups kidneys failed. Bad breeding is the vets guess. These people been on the run for a hot minute. Other random people have contacted us about them being puppy scammers (taking deposits and not delivering), so after our experience we thought reporting was needed.Initial Complaint

August 28, 2022 I Venmo $500 to her as a deposit for a puppy. Since then she has been hard to contact. She will not give me details to the litter that was supposedly born mid October. I have no proof shes even a breeder. And as of November 1, 2022 she has turned her phone off.
