We had a leak from our refrigerator that required the floor to be repaired/replaced in our approximate 900 square foot living room, kitchen, bathroom and office areas. Tyler *******, owner of Leonard's Design & Remodeling, was recommended to us from Flooring America in Knoxville, TN. He was prompt in meeting with us and gave us an estimate to install LVP throughout the downstairs area as well as add trim and the panel around the refrigerator that had been water damaged. We ordered the flooring, he picked it up, and worked about a week (I say about a week because they were typically 4-6 hour days that he would work) with one helper to install the VLP. At the end of the week, Mr. ******* asked us to pay $15,000.00 for materials and the work. I thought him an ethical, honest businessman and although the job was not complete, I paid him what he asked. After leaving multiple voicemails and texts, Mr. ******* never returned our calls/texts to complete the job. BUYER BEWARE. I have heard many say never pay a contractor until the job is done. Lesson learned no matter how trustworthy they might seem.
