I contracted with this company (actually with the owner, ***** *****) who had done work for me in the past. He was to replace a portion of a block retaining wall. His price for that work was $3,200.00. While that work was in progress he said the other side of the wall also needed replacing, and it did and he overcharged me for that and I knew he did, but wanted to get it done. To add to the mix, he also has a asphalt business and he sealed both of my driveways. He finished the wall but never came back to fill in the gap behind the blocks. He has promised to come back on at least two different occasions, but was a no-show. He insisted on being paid in full before the work was finished- I know, red flag, but I did it anyway. He won’t answer when I call and he has no voice mail set up. I have texted him several times, and am convinced he has no intention of ever coming back. Also, he did a terrible job on the second driveway, blacktopped over dried concrete, etc. Also, he had told me he would put in a drain behind the wall the length of the wall and he did not do that. He said he put in a three foot drain, but I did not see it. What I want is for him to finish the work and do it right and to re-do the one driveway that looks so bad, or if he would agree to refund me $2,000.00 I could hire someone else to finish the job he was pre-paid to do.
