1st issue the building pad. He didn’t complete the pad on time & delayed our concrete being poured. 2nd issue damage to our shop. It was minimal & he did agree to refund us. 3rd issue the utility ditches being dug. He dug the ditch on both ends but did not connect the ditches. On top of that the ditch was not straight enough so that the conduit could be laid properly. We had requested a meeting to discuss a solution. He was very unprofessional in the meeting. I said I was very unhappy with what I was seeing since it’s not what we had discussed. His response was this is a dumb location. He was argumentative instead of trying to come up with a solution to correct & move forward. 4th issue he requested a drawl after our meeting. According to his contract we did not have to pay anything else until the completion of the job. 5th issue septic. He did attempt to hire another company to complete the septic but there was a lot of misleading information which resulted in the other company stating they would not be doing the job. After waiting 3 weeks we were told he would have to rebid in order for him to complete the job. He had also told us he would either be doing the septic or hire it out for no extra cost to us. At that point we decided we no longer wanted to work with Dakota & that we would remove the septic from the original bid. We had already paid towards the septic which we were told he would refund us for it. Sixth issue we had is what was considered a completed job. A pile of gravel, burn pile, boulders were left. They dug 2 drainage ditches by the driveway that was supposed to prevent flooding but our shop flooded the next day. Driveway gravel was not spread evenly & barely covers the front of our shop. Seventh issue is the refunds. He refused to refund us until he completed the job. I 10/10 would not recommend hiring Slack Excavation. He seems very inexperienced despite his “10 years experience”.

I hired them to repair my driveway and bushhog my 5 acre field. Being a single woman I was worried about being taken advantage of, but I am very happy with what I was quoted. They went above and beyond with clearing some downed trees for me while clearing my field. They showed up on time everytime and kept in contact with me between visits. I would recommend this company for any land work needs.

Great company and the service is always phenomenal. I've used them on multiple jobs over the years and their work has always been completed to code and to our satisfaction. Great communication and I look forward to working with you in the upcoming years.

I hired Slack Excavation to build a pad and driveway for my new home. The driveway took 3 inspections before passing, and a gas line was hit in the process. My pad was built to the wrong size, and when Slack went in to correct the issue, they did it incorrectly and it failed inspection. Slack was unable or unwilling to then correct the issues with the pad. It has cost me thousands of dollars and I am now behind schedule 5 months. I have had to hire a new company to take down the original pad and start over. The only reason I am giving them 1 star is because they did give me a partial refund when I threatened to take them to court. The refund did not even cover the cost of taking down the original pad. Buyer be aware!!!!
