              On Sept 20, 2021, I received a call asking for a donation to Volunteer Firefighter Alliance. We had given twice before, so after confirming with the woman that I would get a receipt mailed to me, I went ahead and gave a $103 dollar donation. A couple of days later, instead of a receipt, I got a pledge card in the mail saying I had pledged $100 plus $3 on 9/20/2021 and asking me to send in payment. That's is very deceitful right there, as I wonder how many elderly people would forget that they paid and send the money in a second time? Anyway, I called them, left a message about the issue and to call me but there was no response . In the meantime, I started researching this company and found out that they are not directly involved with the fire departments and that they are widely regarded by fire departments and watchdog agencies as scammers, and that director **** ***** is involved in many scams like this. I feel these people are purposely misleading and deceitful.
