A contract was entered into for home improvement July of 2023 with an ending date of November 2023. As of June 11, 2024, the work as was still not completed and ****** chose to take an 8 week business trip. Upon complaint of this absence, ****** was angered and withdrew from the job. I went into their business location to visit with ******* regarding closing out the contract. I requested proof that all contractors had been paid, any construction items that we had purchased be delivered to us and retribution for damaged or taken personal property during the past 11 months. We also discussed that Abilene Floors and More owed us money on items or work we had paid for but not yet delivered. She agreed to do that and was to get back with me and after several emails sent by me and phone calls to the business, I never heard back from her or ******. Several trips to the business have revealed that the business is now closed and the building is empty. We paid a total of $115,656.02. We had a punch list of items to be completed and a master bedroom and bath that was not completed and in disarray. We have spent over $1,000 on electrical repairs from their work and $300 to install appliances that were done wrong. We sought out a bid to complete the master bedroom and bath and it totaled $46,213.42 due to the fact that the shower portion had to be torn out and started again. I would like to financially settle this with the ******** and move forward.

Abilene floors and more ****** and *******. The following are issues we need resolved. How it was explained and what was not disclosed while purchasing cabinets is the cabinets would come unassembled, with the option to install for ($1,200.00). In addition, the hardware we purchased for ($350.00) was never supplied. In addition, the underlayment purchased for the hardwood floors was also never supplied another ($1,112.50). Lastly, the granite slabs purchased for ($5,300.00) we do not have access to. I’ve spoken to Pinnacle granite as well as Texas T granite for quotes on the colonial ice dual level one granite. The purchase price from XXXXXXXX via written quote is ($1,044.00). The ($5,300.00) was the agreement and if the material was supplied even with the significant markup, I would have been ok with it. What does give me heartburn is the materials purchased and not delivered. I view this as a breach of contract. It was also the understanding that we purchased a level 2 colonial ice dual granite material, no such material exists. I’m at a similar disadvantage with the cabinets. I could have gone to cabinets.com designed, pur-chased, and had them sent to my home for a fraction of the price. You essentially dropped shipped cabinets after a substantial markup without disclosing the assemble required. We also paid for the island installation and paint. We installed the island yesterday and the footrest section had to have the backing strips relocation due to the thickness of the support was not taken into consideration when fabrication said supports. Thus, causing rework. Abilene Floors and More has been paid in full the amount of (37,381.10) for either labor or material that was not provided this coupled with the failure to disclose is what has in this situation.
