Me and my husband got the vehicle at the beginning of the year when we got the car we had informed them before we left the lot that the engine light was on. The mechanic came and looked before we left but all he did was clear the codes. A couple months later the cars transmission went out. They said it would only be a couple of days and then it turned into a week and a half and my husband lost his job. Through the month of June and july we had to put the car at the car places shop twice when they said they fixed the issue. While each time paying 200 dollars each time. We got the car back and three days later it stopped working we then had to buy a 400 dollar battery. And then a week later the car had every light come on and stopped working. They said they fixed the wires and the fuses. Which they didn’t. So now my children are also missing school and because of this company we have had a financial burden and have felt like we have been scammed and that my children are now not getting their education because they are having to tow it again and said they can’t work on it for another week.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:
They told us to take it to their mechanic shop and the manager promised multiple times that if the mechanic shop could not fix the car that she would replace it. The mechanic shop also told her that they can not work on the vehicle anymore because they can not figure out what’s wrong with it and that they don’t want to touch it anymore. When the car was sold to us they cleared the codes when we told them the engine light was on. The dealership knew that the car not up to standard. The manager is the one who told us that she would get me into a new vehicle if the car couldn’t be fixed. They also offer their employees cars when theirs are not working but she refused to let us use a car while the shops works on the car. We have spent money ALOT at both the car and mechanic shop. At this point we are being scammed. The mechanic shop even said they wouldn’t be able to even look at it for a week and that even if they did look at it that it isn’t fixable. Which was told to us by the sales people and the mechanic shop. Any of the sales people we have talked to also said that they feel the car should be replaced and that they do not understand why the manager is okay with us paying a lot of money and having no vehicle to drive.
Sincerely,

Yes they where told to take it to our Mechanic Shop due to that it has a warranty on it 12,0000 miles or 1 Year which ever comes first. They where not having problems with the vehicle until her husband replaced the alternator. After that is when they started having wiring problems. Everything that My Mechanic of Abilene has repaired please see attachments. We do sell used vehicles and that is why we offer the warranty. I personally skipped a payment for customer when the vehicle was in the shop getting fixed (see attachment). My dealership doesn't do loaner vehicles. When the customer called the mechanic shop last time they wanted it fixed that day and that day only. With the shop you have to make appointment. As far as replacing the vehicle it is not the shop or sales dept. to say one way or the other. Customer called me threating to take to it there lawyer at that time I have nothing else to discuss with them.Initial Complaint

The customer ran out of gas is the reason the car broke down on her. She called us we sent a tow truck and had it delivered back to the shop, finding that it was only out of gas. Warranty has handled all the issues with the vehicle. Customer has not been out of any money out of pocket. Customer has also called the shop wanting to come and pick up the vehicle this morning.Initial Complaint
