      Black Plumbing used to be a great reputable company, but that has changed. I have used them several times in the past and they had always provided great service at a great price. I had a water heater fail recently and had to get it replaced quickly. I bought the water heater myself from Home Depot and it was in the garage next to my bad water heater, so they didn't need to move it very far. They came the next day knowing they were replacing a water heater and they only sent one guy. He came and looked at it and said he didn't have the right parts, so he'd have to go get them despite knowing what the job was. He was gone for over an hour and when he came back he said he needed help getting the new heater in, so I helped him. I told him to reuse the drip pan and power cord, so the only thing he replaced was some short copper pipe from the wall and a ball valve. When he was done, he hands me a bill for $869 !! He charged me for 3 hours of labor even though he was gone for 1 of them, and $271 for "materials" which he refused to explain or itemize on the bill! He said "We're not the cheapest or most expensive". I estimate the cost of the materials used retails for about $80. I understand that they have to have a mark up, but that's ridiculous! I contacted the office, but they were no help and basically told me I could take my business elsewhere! I will never use Black Plumbing again for my home, business, or rent houses!...

      I think we were overcharged, we live 60 miles from Abilene so I knew there would be a trip charge and a mileage fee but they did not send a plumber so we don’t think he quite understood the problem. Plus we did not get a receipt for the check we wrote or an explanation of the charges. We did get an estimate for $2685.00 which was on top of the $780.00 we had already paid.

      Hired Black Plumbing to come fix the colossal mistakes a "contractor" we hired made. Paid them $1800 and they guaranteed their work. Had to call them back out right away because the hot and cold faucets were hooked up properly. Then had to call them back out because they hooked up hot water to the toilet. Then called them back out for a leak. The guy came out and said yeah I see something is leaking but I don't know from where. Never resolved it. Now my shower has flooded my bathroom and water is coming out of the toilet and sinks as well. Called another company to come out and they don't even know what Black Plumbing did. There is a "vent" they put in that is overflowing water under the house. There are pipes with the incorrect glue and another pipe that goes no where and is plugged off at the end. I am now without a bathroom all weekend and will be out who knows how many more hundreds of dollars to pay someone else to fix it correctly. Will never use or recommend to anyone.

      We were called out for service on May 12th, to asses issues with plumbing. Our technician noticed several things were installed illegally/improperly by previous contractor hired. We scheduled to make a handful of corrections that were seen on the initial assessment on May 17th. After those corrections were made we tested everything and everything seemed well we left. Customer called back about possible lines being crossed and we went out there as a courtesy and noticed that they were crossed and we made the repair under our warranty as well as the second trip. If any additional work is needed beyond what we repaired we would've continued to make those repairs at time and material as we did on the original repair. If there are any issues concerning our warranty we address those very quickly and we stand behind our work. We provide every job with a 1 year parts and labor warranty. We are not responsible for pre existing plumbing.

      They had to come back again on May 27th to make a correction because they hooked the hot water up to the toilet. That was their third trip to my house. Then on June 9th I had to call again because there was water in the crawl space under the master bathroom. Jeff came out and acknowledged it was wet under the house but didn't know where it was coming from. He did find a water leak, which was a separate issue, but never located the source of water under the house. He left with no explanation for that. The crawl space flooded since he left. After 4 trips to my home it is clear they do not do work properly to begin with and are not able to correct issues. I am not going to have your company return to my house every week for a year just because you have a warranty. It's clear you need the warranty so you can come back and constantly make corrections.

      Had a leak in the water purification system in the hangar which resulted in some flooding of the hangar floor. ***** and ********* of Black Plumbing came right out and went to work on it. They were very informative and corrected the problem and got everything running great! Friendly and efficient service at a fair price by two fine gentlemen whom it was a pleasure to work with. ***** Plumbing in San Angelo is first class! Thank you! **** *****

      I had work done earlier this year and had warranty company to cover the cost they sent out Black Plumbing. They took forever to get the pricing to the company then by the time they agreed on the pricing I was told it was going to be 2 weeks before they could get to me with a leak in my front yard for a full 3 weeks. When they finally did the job they got a trencher and destroyed my sprinkler system and told me they EXCLUDED any damage they may have done in their bid. After another 3 weeks they finally fixed the sprinkler system which they argued with the insurance company for $1300 to fix a 1/2" line, and two 1-1/2" lines that the trencher cut a 6" piece out of each line. After we gave them a bad review the finally came out and put mechanical fittings on to repair the lines. It took all of 30 minutes to fix with one person. They only came out when I gave them a bad review on their website. They seemed to only be looking at how much they could steal from the insurance company with no regard for the fact that my water system was out of service for almost 2 months. NEVER EVER USE THESE THIEVES.

      Black Plumbing was hired by Homeserve, a home warranty company. We (Black Plumbing) looked at the original leak on 3-8-2021 and we gave our recommendation to the homeowner of a waterline replacement at that time. We were then asked to turn in a estimate for the waterline replacement to the home warranty company by the customer and we submitted it on 3-10-2021. We spent the next several days exchanging phone calls and emails with the home warranty company explaining all prices, breakdowns and recommendations as well as talked to the homeowner several times and let the homeowner know that we were waiting on approval and we have not yet received it up to that point. We offered several times that if the homeowner did not want to wait for the home warranty company's approval that we would be more than happy to install the waterline and collect directly for the homeowner, but the homeowner insisted on us to keep trying to get approval from the home warranty company. We finally received authorization from the home warranty company to proceed on the line replacement on 3-23-2021. We contacted the homeowner to inform him and scheduled the job, we contacted 811 (line locations), ordered materials and equipment and then provided the installation of the waterline on 4-2-2021. While performing the excavating, an irrigation (private utilities) lines were hit. We informed the homeowner and the home warranty company that our bid excluded (within our Terms & Conditions) us from any private utilities that could be damaged during process of the job/excavation process. We then offered to repair the private utilities at a time and material basis. The home warranty company once again asked us to provide a bid to make all repairs and the bid was sent immediately to the home warranty company. After several phone calls and emails trying to get approval from the home warranty company and with no luck, we talked with homeowner and scheduled to fix the private utilities prior to receiving any approval. The private utilities were then repaired on 4-27-2021. We then billed the home warranty company for repairing the private utilities and they provided approval. We received payment the following month from the home warranty company. We felt that during the entire process we kept the homeowner updated as the homeowner and ***** ***** spoke multiple times over those few weeks while both were waiting on the home warranty company to make the decision and give authorization. All estimates/bids were turned in in a very timely manner and Black Plumbing gave breakdowns for prices according to our company's policy. Each time we received approval to proceed from the home warranty company the homeowner was called and scheduled at that time. We did inform the homeowner several times that if we proceeded before authorization that the home warranty company is not obligated to pay for any work provided and that the home owner would be liable. When we decided to make the repairs on the private utilities without authorization we were doing so knowing that the home warranty company may not pay the bill, but did so to try to take care of the homeowner. The home warranty company did side with Black Plumbing after their investigation process and paid all the bills. Black Plumbing responds to any and all complaints, with an attempt to resolve all issues. Resolving the issue with this particular customer was within the same manner we've practiced for years.
