On Saturday, June 4, 2022 we went to Cricket on South 14th Street in Abilene TX to transfer our service from T-Mobile. We wanted to do their bring your own phone option. The employee we were working with said that all 3 phones were compatible with their software and proceeded to port our numbers. We paid activation fees with all 3 phones. My fiancé stayed at the store with our phones and I left with my daughters phone because I needed to run an errand. My daughter's phone had completely transitioned over and could call, text, and get internet but our phones were not calling and hadn't completely transitioned to the Cricket software. After several people worked on the phones they said it sometimes takes a couple hours and said that my fiancé could leave bc it said the phones were ported. It is now Tuesday, June 7, 2022 and we still have no calling on either of our phones. We have spoke to the store several times, someone named ***** ******* called and said they were working on it, and have called the 1-800 number several times as well. No resolution. It has been determined that our phones are not compatible with their software. We understand this however, when asked to fix the issue, refund the 2 activation fees, and give us the option of new customer pricing for other phone options we were told they couldn't. Their reasoning is we are no longer new customers and activation fees are not refundable. We have made 3 trips to Abilene and now when we call for an update they are not answering our calls. We are only asking that the company fix their mistake. We are asking for a refund our activation fees for 2 of the phones because we could have activated for free online, new customer pricing for phones that will work on their software, and no additional expenses.

Cricket Wireless is a predatory service provider. If one can, find another provider for service. Their customer representatives will lie to you to avoid having to do their job. They will talk down to you, call you names and hang up on you instead of finding solutions to your problem. Cricket Wireless will purposely mislead you on the amount of your bill to suspend service and collect an extra $19.95 to restore service. No matter how long you devote to fixing the issue, even when the issue was not created by you, which they admit, you will be over charged to restore service because, ultimately, you will pay whatever to have the service restored. Even after admitting the fault is not yours, you will be charged $19.95 to restore service. Cricket Wireless provides shoddy service, slows down data service at will, fails to train customer service representatives properly, refuses to participate in account resolution. You will regret signing up for Cricket Wireless. They will make sure of it.
