Hired Russells remodeling to replace some sheet rock and flooring in guest bathroom due to water line break. The Sheetrock repair was not done right around vent and heavy texture dripping in corner of ceiling. It was supposed to be an orange peel texture. There were other areas that were heavy. There was some patched areas that were not sanded. It took 5 days to complete everything. He said it would take a couple of days. He showed up later that stated on several occasions. I would not recommend this company.

We apologize if you feel you had a bad experience with us. We strive for customer satisfaction. While there we jumped through many diffent hoops to meet your satisfaction.
When we went out for final payment the only complaint was about the vent not being tightened up to the ceiling completely. You stated your husband was going to tighten as it was still drying. I even took some off of the final bill due to this. When I left you stated we had reached your satisfaction.
We hope that anyone who works for you in the future doesn't have this problem in the future.

The vent was not drying, the hole was cut too big. The credit was given for the wider area that needed to be hidden with a 2 inch trim instead of 1 inch at the transition. When I contacted Russell's about construction debris backing up my sewer and that I had a plumber to clear it, I was told I should have called them first. I was told they could not see if they cause it and said it sounded fishy like i was making it up. To top it off, I was hung up on. I had made 2 attempts to give them a chance to help with cost, so I didn't pursue it after they hung up. I don't ask for perfect, I ask that the job is done right. I didn't want any stuff done half way.

If it's a bigger project, stay away. We're new-ish to Abilene and called Sherwin Williams to get a recommendation for painters to paint the entire interior of our house. After calling a few, these guys were able to come give me an estimate and start right away, so we went with them. They were by no means the cheapest estimate we received. Each day they showed up around 10:30 or 11 and left by 4, bringing employees who had never held a paintbrush and one even had a house arrest ankle monitor - to a house with 2 young toddlers. It was clear nobody had any idea what they were doing. 3 months later, I'm still find something new that looks bad every day. The cabinets are already all chipping due to the wrong paint/primer being used. There are no straight lines anywhere in the house, several spots missed, and the doors are all ruined due to them having been stacked on top of each other while wet. Most of the doors were put back in the wrong spot so they don't close correctly. They had offered to replace the doors, but ended up ordering the wrong sizes for the majority of them, so most are still messed up. Anything else I asked to be fixed was either rushed through, skipped, or ended up looking worse after being 'fixed'. Long story short, if I wanted a job that looked bad and took forever, I would have done it myself and saved about $12k. Now I'll be hiring someone else to do the majority of it again and buying new doors, so it will end up costing double the time and money. I hate to write negative reviews for small businesses and really wanted to give these people a chance, but I don't wish this experience on anyone when it comes to their homes and thousands of dollars.

This review leaves me speachless. I'm in utter shock of the complaints here. As far as the individual with the ankle monitor, his crime had nothing to do with children. He was kind and respectful. Here we are three months lated...

Fabulous work on 2 bathrooms!! Very professional but laid back at the same time! I got a quote one day and the job was done the next! They even had to go back to the store and make an exchange. They never went above the quoted price! No surprises! Absolutely thrilled with the work they did!!
