As of today, I refuse to speak with anyone who answers the phones or calls me from Abilene Bone and Joint on Cottonwood street. Every time I am called or have to call in reference to appointments or procedures, I am treated with at least disrespect, and have even been yelled at and called a liar. I can never get the name of the person who calls or answers the phone. Today, I called to ask if my appointment is today. I am due for refills on three medications. I was told my doctor's nurse is on vacation, the other PA is booked, and I cannot be seen for another two days. I tried to explain I am out of both pain medications and my muscle relaxer. I was told, basically, she did not care and I would be without medication until Wednesday afternoon - two days from now. She could have given my doctor a message. I was just in surgery last week, so it isn't as if he has not recently seen me. This attitude has been consistently demonstrated for the past year, during every phone interaction. I have spoken with my doctor about this, but nothing has been done to rectify the issue. No patient should ever be treated in this despicable manner. I cannot be the only patient treated this way; therefore, I am speaking up for all patients who experience this type of behavior when we are reaching out for help from Hendrick Bone and Joint Clinic.Business response
