So, I went to All Star Japanese engine and auto service on 3/31/2022 to have my car inspected since I purchased the vehicle used. I had to leave my car with them and the owner of the shop dropped me off at home since he needed the car. I also advised him that I needed to have the splash shield repaired as well. So, based off of the information he gave me. He did not complete all services that he advised me that he would. When I asked him about the inspection paper he told me that he did not give those out which was a suspicious to me. Afterwards when he saw I would not move then he took it upon himself to check boxes on the form attached. I then called back on 4/1 and asked if they did the inspection then why was my tire light on. Then he proceeded to tell me that my valve stem was messed up. I asked why did he put that the car was good when indeed it wasn't. He got frustrated and repeated that I needed a valve stem. So, I took my car to Just Tire and had them look at it and they advised me that there was a bubble in the tire and I needed to replace it. I asked them about the valve stem and they said the valve stem was fine. So, he has been giving suspicious information and not only that he did not even put on the paperwork that he even did an inspection. Not to mention there was no prior authorization that I gave them to do anything on my car. I told him to call me and he did not. I would like a refund that he charged me for services that he obviously did not complete on my 2013 Honda Accord Touring. Also, he could settle and give me back 50% of the total as well. No pricing or anything was given to me until afterwards. I have been to plenty of shops who do not operate this way.

      Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/04/21) */ See attachment below ******* ******* brought her car to me on Wednesday, March 30th. I looked at the car where she had hit the curb on the left front. A piece of the infender liner shield came off. It messed up the front splash shield. I told her if she brought it back the next day I would try and repair it. I told her we might have to buy a new splash shield. She needed a ride home so as a courtesy to my customers I always try and offer a ride to their work or home. When hitting the curb she bent the lower radiator support, bent the a/c condensor and pushed everything over. The only way to repair the splash shield was actually bend it back. I couldn't quote her a price at the time because we didn't really know if and how it would work. My labor charge is $120 per hour. My mechanic spent over 3 hours repairing her car. You will note on the invoice I only charged her $250. This included the repair and the pre-buyers inspection. Miss ******* told me she wanted to refinance the car and would I check it out. I recommended that if it were me I would make an insurance claim since there was extensive damage that might cause issues later on. I normally charge one hour's labor to check out a car but I didn't even charge her that. I only charged $250.00 for the actual work we did to repair the splash shield. I gave her that price and she had no objections to it at the time. I actually saved her some money. My mechanic had given me the code for the tire pressure light and I had it sitting with her receipt on my desk. When she left I saw that I had forgotten to staple it to her receipt. I never said her valve stem was bad, only the tire pressure sensor which indicates a low tire. So if Just Tire told her the valve stem was okay I'm sure it was. When she called back the next day stating that her tire light was on I told her I had forgotten to tell her about the code. She then proceeded to curse me and say I was taking advantage of females. I have been in business for over 30 years and take pride in treating all my customers fairly. She stated that I "suspiciously" didn't give her the inspection report which is just my mechanics notes, nor did I complete all the services I charged her for when actually I didn't charge her for all the services we performed. It is unjust of Miss ******* to demand money back when I performed all that I said I would and then some. I stand by my word and the work of my mechanics. ************* **************
