Central Mechanical replaced our upstairs Air Conditioning Unit in August of 2019. The unit had problems with it from the date of installation that were raised with Central Mechanical. Problems with the unit were documented in text messages between Caesar ********* (Sole Prorprietor) and myself and included failure to hold a cool temperature and rattling noises. This unit is used only when we have visitors staying with us which was limited by Covid19. Caesar ********* did come out once after installation in September 2020 but did not find or resolve the problem. In July 2021 we again reached out to Ceaser ********* and he essentially told us to go find someone else as he no longer works on residential air conditioning. Last year the system was low on freon and it was recharged for $200. This freon leaked out within 1 week. This week another company ran leak tests and found the problem to be a manufacture defect. This defect should have been discovered and fixed at the time of installation. The cost to diagnose and repair was $850.00. I am now out $1050 on top of the $6977 we paid for the unit. Our unit was damaged either before or during installation and never worked properly. Central Mechanical did not diagnose or fix our problem despite repeated requests.

      Business response

Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2022/08/02) */ Yes we did installed new Goodman system for Mr. ****** in August of 2019 also we did provide him with Warranty registration with Goodman manufacture of his system witch is our standard procedure.I would have to agree that with in few weeks of installation we had bad (TXV Thermo Expansion Valve on the evaporator coil) Sometimes the TXV valves has problems, because they are being made by other companys and manufactures are using those components in their equipment. Now when Mr. ****** called we did responed at ones, we did replaced it at no cost to the costumer. After that system was operating well without any problems. Then about 2-years later we start receiving calls from him and his wife about some kind of noise...that the system is making or transmitting. Every time when he did call us we did stop by, the only problem we did not hear any noise or vibration nor Mr. ****** or his wife at the time when we wore there, and every time we did check system and unit was operating well. This happened on few occasions if I can recall we did stop by at his house total of 3-times at different days With span of 2-months and every time was the something no noise. At the same time we did NOT charge him service fee or labor every time that we did show up. Now going back to the system installation that took place in 2019. Central Mechanical warrants its labor for work describe for one year.Texas law regulation. All parts carry their respective Manufacture's warranties, any warranty processing fees are the responsibility of the end user. Now Mr.****** could contact the Goodman manufacture since he has 10-Years Manufacture warranty on his system. He could get service from Goodman knowing that he has problems with the system and all of the parts/equipment would be cover. All he would be responsible is paying for the labor. I know that is so easy to point the finger and make complains,
